If that's the only part in your way, don't bother.
You're not going to pass power check at POST on any modern card without good power rails.

I think Intel's recommendation for the B580 is 600W. Can it work with 550? Quite possibly, but there is that.

Were I in your shoes, though, I think I'd opt for the 4060. Yes, less VRAM and all, but DLSS is the best crutch there is and the thing sips power. And it doesn't have the overhead issue the Arc currently does.

I don't play AAA games, I probably won't need DLSS.

Time will tell. If Intel sorts this out, I'll get the B580. If not though a 4060 is going to be on the way.

A 7600 is also a good choice if you can get it at a good price. Or the 7600 XT that comes with 16 GB VRAM. I'm not saying that the 4060 is bad, though, far from it. At an equal price, I'd get that over the 7600, but not over the XT.

I'm not sure about this one. Last month I made a jump from 25A to 83A. It's effectively a 46+42 pairing.
You might just be lucky enough to squeak by but who knows? I promise nothing.
ALL of those newer cards are sold on the plan that you have enough to power them.

The pricing where I live (Bulgaria) has always been a bit shit for GPU's.

6700XT - Is missing stock almost everywhere and is 510 USD where it's available.
4060 (The cheapest 8GB variant - Palit) is the same price as the B580.
4060Ti - 458,97 USD (447,91 EUR)

at this point (if it was me) I would go with the 4060 since it's the same price and Intel may not be able to fix the issue

I don't think either one is "bad" decision if that's all your budget allows and doing a little research into which card plays the games you like better would help you out as well

as far as power goes, neither card breaks 200w so you would be around 275w-300w total system in gaming. A modern 550W (that can actually provide 550w in spec) will handle that no problem and from your other posts it does seem to be DC-DC rather than group regulated.

So I suppose 12600KF would be a good enough pairing for this as it's not that much slower than 13600K. How much is it in the U.S. these days? If around $150 then definitely fits the "budget build" imo.

Funny how it runs fine on a 13600k and it absolutely chokes on ryzen 7600 / 9600. Keep milking those 6 cored cows amd.

Kinda wanted to see how it'd run on a Celeron G6900, which is the weakest CPU on LGA 1700. If the old trope of Radeon runs better on CPU constrained scenario still holds

Thank you. I've been looking for data like this. Though I wonder why 1440p ultra settings was not used as thats where its advantage lies... with the extra vram. Maybe it didn't want that in the data but I'd like to see that too.
