RX580 not stable...

Hi,
Can someone here please help me out ? I need someone who has more experience than I have as I am not sure what to do next. I will not hold anyone responsible for any suggestions, ideas, or procedures that you might give, if I brick the card, it is my fault and no one else's. But right now the card is pretty much worthless to me because it is not stable. I am not sure I have the correct vbios for this card, plus from what I read, there's a chance that this card is really a RX570 and not a RX580. I bought this card a while back and at that time I didn't know that some of these cards are repurposed or might have a mining vbios on them. I've included the Gpuz's info as well as photos of the card's front and back. I also included a shot of the glitch that always seems to happen. If you have any ideas or see anything strange, please le me know.
Thanks,
Gcard1

Your card is a RX580 2048SP which is an overclocked RX570.

This bios might be a beter match

Thanks VuurVOS for your reply. I kinda thought it was that, I will give that bios you recommended a try, hopefully that will work. I will report back after I see how the system works..
One thing, after I reflash the card, do I have to go back and get rid of the old driver in Windows 10 or do I just leave it like it is ?

Yes per bios installed on your gpu it states you have micron hf ram and not hfb ram

Thats not to say you might physically have hfb ram on the card, now that is internal tracking in bios as whats on micron ram starts with a D9 code whether it is hf or hfb, you might consider pulling the heatsink and getting a pic of a ram chip to decypher the D9 code

Here is a very current bios for the card if it has hf ram and not hfb.

Well, things didn't go so well. I thought I'd start of by flashing the card with that Showkings bios, it said the flash was successful but then I forgot to uninstall that flash program before I rebooted. Now, there's no output from the card at all. Luckily, I have integrated graphics so I was able to boot with that. What do you recommend I do now ? Hopefully there's a way that I can reflash it again, it said it couldn't read the rom now.

How did you enable the integrated onboard graphics? Did you set internal als primary graphics or did you remove the card?

I wanted to add that I spent about 5 hours last night fiddling around including some command line stuff but I couldn't get anywhere, it wasn't like trying only a few things, it was a more intense session than that,
Yes, I enabled integrated graphics as the primary display. Part of the problem is I am using Windows 10 pro but I am not super familiar with it yet so that further complicates things. After viewing a lot of videos there are lots of other people who made mistakes or had their card bricked so I don't feel like I am the only one dealing with this kind of problem but I am still a bit pissed at myself for not uninstalling the flashing software before rebooting. I don't know if that caused the problem or not but I am sure it didn't help matters.
The other thing is my RAM is not showing up correctly, I have 32 GB but it shows as 16, and also when I put the ROM file in the same folder as that amdvbflashing software, it wouldn't show up there. Who knows, maybe I fouled up my whole system. I am going to reseat the RAM a few times and see if that will make it show up correctly. Lastly, when I was in the command line, I did a amdvbflash -ai. I wanted to copy that text and post it here so you could see that but I couldn't figure out how to copy that into a text file, just a wonderful evening I was having. :banghead:
If there is something you need to see let me know and I will try to get that.

Please make a screenshot of amdvbflash -i and share it with us. Which version of amdvbflash did you use? Did you use the GUI version to flash the card?

Ok, I went all of the way, I took the heat shield off this card in order to see what kind of memory it has.

The make and number is as follows - Samsung K4G80325FC-HC25

Now we don't have to guess any more as to what's going on. Based on this, what is the exact ROM I should be using to flash it ?
My initial GPUZ screenshot showed Micron memory which isn't correct for this card.
And the thermal paste on the GPU was kind of dry so I will redo that with fresh stuff.

The SHOWKINGS RX 580 2048sp bios which is provided earlier should be fine since it has the following memory support:
  1. Micron MT51J256M32HFB
  2. Samsung K4G80325FB
  3. Samsung K4G80325FC
The real question is, why did the flash go wrong. Can you provide us a screenshot of "amdvbflash -i" (asking for a second time now)

I couldn't provide the screenshot as I had to take the card apart to see the memory. Also the fact my whole system was apart and not working but I finally got things back to where it was. Let me put the card back together and installed in the system and I will get that screenshot.

You are using a wrong version of amdvbflash. Please use version 2.93 of amdvbflash otherwise you can't flash a bios with a different part number.

You are using a wrong version of amdvbflash. Please use version 2.93 of amdvbflash otherwise you can't flash a bios with a different part number.
I even updated the guid to reflect using 2.93 in windows 10/11 with a fix the driver from 5.06*** needs to be used first due to the w8bsecurity function

So, what you're saying Eldair, is I should install the driver from 5.06 first then flash it with 2.93 amdvbflash, am I understanding you correctly ?
Before doing the flash,do I need to unlock the ROM, and enable the card ? I've seen and read so much doc that I am overloaded, I don't want to quickly do thiings and make mistakes like I did before. If this seems trivial or simple to either of you two guys, please bear with me, it's not that way for me yet, hope you can understand where I am coming from.
Now, my system registers with the correct amount of RAM now and boots up, I couldn't get my machine to even post with the BIOS before, That's why I had a delay in getting that acreenshot out to you, VuurVos.

Yes my guide is in my signature, go to 2.93 section and it informs you of what to do,

Is this correct ? I flashed it with the rom VuurVos gave. After I did that flash I uninstalled the driver from 567. So now I enable the card, reboot, then go into MB Bios, set it to the 580 card and reboot again ? Am I doing things right ?

Doesnt look good. GPU and Memory clocks are zero.

Try this bios which was shared by eidairaman1 earlier:

That didn't seem to work either. Now what ? Go through eidairaman's list of roms he gave one by one ?

After I used DDU and then installed the latest driver, it now displays the GPU and Memory settings where before it had zeros, but the card still doesn't work correctly. If I try to boot with the graphics card set as the primary display, I get 1 long beep and 3 short ones. Means no display attached ? I got those same set of beeps before when i forgot to plug in the 8 pin power plug.
Also, the fans on the GPU card come on and off at different times. What's next ?

Did the SHOWKINGS RX580 2048SP bios give you proper screen? I think the zero gpu/memory clocks where caused by a driver issue.
