I think Intel would be proud of the modularity of my current build (boxes in a drawer)

Put the video card in today and downloaded the drivers I needed I have never had a RGB computer before but I like it for Now What I do like is the ability to turn most of the rgb off when it suits me. This replaces a 10 year old computer .

A small dab of thermal paste made it into the socket without me noticing and cooked both memory channels. The CPU is a paperweight now and the motherboard has damage to the pins from the arcing :banghead:

But but..how? isn't thermal paste non-conductive?

Were you doing direct die cooling? The overwhelming majority of modern pastes are non-conductive.

Very nice indeed...How are you finding the 265K?

I upgraded from a 12700k very nice for Adobe Premiere so far, I have OC'd the P-Core to 5.7 and E-Core to 4.9 and it feels very snappy. I play Valorant on the iGPU at 144fps 3840x1600, amazing what the iGPU can also do.

2 days up-time so far in terms of stability!

I was helping one of my friends diagnose issues with his Am5 build and a bit of extra paste made it in the socket I guess when we were cpu swapping.. My thoughts too on it being non conductive but the paste was a light green color when I discovered it like an oxidized penny.. Maybe that corsair paste had some copper or aluminum in it??

Updates to the XSP 512TR Pc build. I added another reservoir... cuz ya know, cars have several, so that seemed appropriate. I also added two sata drives in RAID O for my video captures, in which I added an Avermedia 4k pcie capture card too. I had to move the Optane drive up a slot because the capture card was taller and my tubing couldn't go around.

I also updated my main rig (the front panel isnt done yet, Im working on it... stainless steel (which Ill paint grey like the rest of the chassis and carbon fiber, when I get around to cutting it. I did redo all of the tubing, drained and cleaned out the loop and moved it from one Phaneks case to another, my Evolv X, which has more room, which is nice. Simpler design for the h2o now as well. I also redid all of the cabling and added a fan to the back of the cpu area.

I see you are also one of the few that also actively cools the MB PCB on the backside where there is the highest heat concentration .

Most will say: 'waste of energy or unnecesary additional noise', but I truly be;lieve it helps, even if it is only marginal .

Bleeding edge man. I don't typically buy the latest hardware, so if I want the performance, I gotta tweak things. Plus, I can't leave anything alone, I have ADHD and ideas (good and bad) flow constantly and I love doing the research, testing, benching, failing, failing, failing and then success! For me, its the journey and although the goal is important so I have direction, its just not as valuable to me.

Just finished installing the new cpu and motherboard... Was pleasantly surprised to have sp rating over 100, how high does it go? Pictures of the build soon once I get the mess off the table cleaned up a bit. :)

That Thermalright CPU block reminds me of the early Corsair AIO coolers.

I had a H80i that cooled a 2500k and 3930k but I honestly craved more cooling so I think I upgraded to a H100i with the thick 38mm thick radiator.

My setup has changed. I still have the old Corsair 680X case but removed mall the old corsair commander pro and put in the new ICUE setup with fans, and cooler. The wiring at the back needs tidying but that's on my agenda when on holiday. Thinking of getting the corsair 4000D case

Is that Boston mat a custom?
The actual poster was resized by somebody who does work for Tom Scholz on his previous record covers whom I met through Facebook years ago and then I got it the mouse mat customed for myself

I thought as much.

Ive seen a lot of Boston merch in my time but never a mat like that.
