What's your latest tech purchase?

I am a midrange kinda guy though :D

I noticed it's drop way below the 7800X3D hard to pass up I guess at 380 usd....

Kinda par for the course with their 6+6 linup tanking like their gpus.

Hating the zen ram latency since ever™. Hoping that zen 6 will change that.

I didn't even know about the measurable latency in ns until now, I really picked the right generation to go all out :banghead:

AND here it is!

NDS ML! (stand for "Medium Large" or "Mostly Lite"? ) working perfection
20250217_174044.jpg20250217_174154.jpg

hilarious, it was set in Japanese and they sent me some accessories and an original NTR-003 850mAh battery o_O i just sent my OG NDS and nothing else ...
well now i have 2 USB to GBA/OG NDS plus an original USG-002 AC adapter (US/JP which is lucky, since it has an input of 100-240v due to being JP compatible, instead of 120v only as the US )
20250217_174849.jpg20250217_175326.jpg
will still use my 900 mAh pack tho ;)

why the OG NDS formfactor/size is superior?
1. for my bear paws ... less hurty :D
2. for GBA cartridge fit, which is an imperative for me (hence why i never bought anything after the NDS Lite )
20250217_174031.jpg20250217_174408.jpg
the stylus is the same as the NDSL which is great, the OG one is a bit... less comfortable :)
also my NDSL is a frankenNDS mixing pieces of a US and a EU i had, the US case was a bit chipped and the EU one had issues with the mainboard and top screen

and the DAC ... my oh my! the added AMP make it really shine with the CVJ Konoka ...
to have the same volume, i only have to put it at about 60% compared to 100% of the ALC5686, dual CS43131+SA9312L (i just noticed that my 19$ dongle use the same USB audio streaming controller chip as the Fiio KA11, Shanling UA1 and Tempotec Sonata HD Pro/E35  ) or the CX31993 alone, with the Konoka at 100% (FOR SCIENCE!) and a bass heavy song (Punishing Grey Raven : Structure, the OST of the Untold Naraka, NiER Automata collab) it's skull shattering, literally feeling the bass, well i keep it at 60% for normal listening ;)

definitely the number 1 in my DAC collection past and present ... and given the price : 500% worth it!
the cable is league above the one with the CX31993 solo and the CS43131
20250217_183800.jpg20250217_183804.jpg20250217_183812.jpg

edit, well that's awkward ... i was about to leave a review on the DAC ... when i noticed that the residual delivery was in my post box ... rushing to get it (it's 0:21AM atm )
all 3 pair of the K-Silver are here too and remain to be tested, funnily enough i think i will put a 880gf (black) stick for direction control and either the 320gf (transparent) or the 540gf (blue) for mouselook, if it permit mix and match, i guess once calibrated it shouldn't be too problematic.

and the 8th is also here... 8th IEMs that is.
Hidizs MS1 Galaxy, since i wanted something to pair with my Hidizs AP80, yes... for that reason ... and not for the Waifu card ...
20250219_001329.jpg

they are just as good as the Tangzu Wan'er SG S.E. and even a bit cheaper (less than 17chf) the "el cheapo" shell still look darn nice and the cable is not bad at all :D
edit, after a side by side test, they sound even better than the Wan'er SG S.E. :D

Vacuum filling the loops. I don't want to play shake the computer to get rid of trapped air, especially with twin loops.

Ok fair enough i get it now  Ive never had water cooled.

Think of that next time you buy a can of something.

I only drink water, have since 2014 - 90% of the time anyway. Sugar and the chemical replacements for sugar are fucking terrible for the human body.

Ugreen USB-C to HDMI 4K60 cable to get my laptop to run my ultrawide display at native refresh rate instead of 50 Hz that I get with HDMI port. Should be here on Monday.

Prepping for mobility issues after upcoming surgery. Everything in the entertainment center has a remote except the HTPC. Hopefully this SilverStone wireless power switch will fix that.

Also waiting for a used Gigabyte Z790M Aorus Elite ax MATX motherboard from ebay for my next build.
...and yay! It works!

Unfortunately the only available USB2 socket was under my GPU "vertical adapter" cable, and circumstances forced me to switch to standard mounting for the GPU instead; but yay, it works.

Kanto Ora speakers and they are amazing
First time I see these. $400....ouch :), look amazing though. Interesting no toslink, but audio USB-C. I saw this on some newer motherboards as well. No optical, but "audio USB-C". Not sure I am on board for that change.
