Anyone else having their display go black for a second or less, and then return to normal, at random moments either in the middle of games or browsing, with these newest drivers? I'm seeing this on both my 3070Ti and 4090. Might have to roll back.

Not yet, but I don't think I'm on the 572.42 driver yet. Will have to double check, not that I want to bring this issue on myself.

Not yet, but will do so later tonight and will report back. It's also a random issue, so any differences might not make themselves known immediately.
I've had it flicker at the desktop, in the middle of a game of Unreal Tournament, and browsing with at least Edge and possibly also Firefox, so there's no apparent consistency I can see yet to whatever is triggering it.
I'll be rolling back to 566.45.

No issues over here, I've been using 572.42 since release on my 3060M and no black screens to speak of.

At least with 3080, I've read from many users that some newer drivers have been problematic. Using 566.36 myself and at least these work like a charm.

So I had done a little reading about that GPU 3060m. It's not a mobile product, but an actual card with what is said, limited driver support. Or maybe it was unofficial driver support.
Either way, you may see issues before anyone else just because that product is sort of rare.

No issues with version listed or newest one that came out yesterday.
Both builds back are at 566.45, and so far there are no issues to report. The 12600K / 3070Ti blacked out 2-3 times this morning before I got the older drivers reinstalled. Not as serious as some of the 5xxx owners are experiencing -- just like if you had changed your monitor refresh rate or switched G-Sync on or off, that momentary screen reset, and no events getting triggered. A real bummer, too, as the 3070TI was screaming in 3DMark with 572.45, those Legendary scores I posted a few days ago.
Will see if they fix it with the next update.

on quick look it seems only to be with those drivers past .16 that have trouble.

I had this one on briefly, and will try it again today, and will report back again.
I uninstall drivers manually through Control Panel, and boot to safe mode to run DDU before installing again with NVCleanstal. I'm only using the graphics driver and legacy control panel from current drivers, then overlaying 9.19.0218 PhysX and Legacy PhysX after. Also setting MSI mode to high for the GPU using the utility before the PhysX drivers, and finishing with Afterburner/RTSS.

@Waldorf -- I think you might be on to something; the 472.16 driver is stable for the 3070Ti. I was thinking that it was the complete 472 branch that was causing the problem. Will install this one on the 4090 next.

9.19.0218 for PhysX is the highest I can go before older games in my library using it start breaking. But that's not really relevant to the screen blanking issue.

So you don't install PhysX with the driver, but use the standalone setup. A good solution would be to install 1019 and copy 0218 binary files to older games folder, perhaps, PhysX is a mess.

No black screens for now with 5080
Still haven't quite figured this out. This morning the 3070Ti blinked once a couple of seconds after I opened Edge, and this was with 22H2 and 566.45 drivers. The two Ada cards upstairs (4070 Super, 4090, both 23H2) are fine now with 472.16.
One thing I did notice on the 3070Ti is that the monitor, an old ROG Swift, dropped its driver and was at Generic PnP in the device tree, so I reinstalled the PG278 driver for it. Will keep an eye on it for now.

3080 Ti, .16 drivers and no black screen issues.
Yeah, starting to think about whether or not this is even a driver issue at this point. Only started recently, normally this 12600K / 3070Ti build is bulletproof.
