Shame that you only have Nitro+ reviewed as that version is 26% more expensive than the Pulse, making it overpriced. I wanted to see the performance of something that's more sanely priced...
Pulse is right there, buddy. It's the one still beating a stock 5080. Just, you know, less.

You should be able to extrapolate to your personal games.

$730 seems much too steep.

I'm guessing that's a signal that AMD expects that it can't supply enough GPUs to satisfy prices near MSRP and that it cares more about short term profits than overall market share.

In my mind, that's a complete failure. I know it's a bit Apples to oranges, but the 9800x3d sells out instantly for months - supply just can't meet demand - yet the price stays the same MSRP. There's no reason AMD couldn't do that here with RDNA 4. They could sell these cards at $600 if they wanted to beat nvidia in this market.

Gotta remember that the NITRO+ is the top-of-the-line Sapphire model and are always quite a bit more expensive than MSRP (like ASUS Strix/Astral, but better quality). They'll have others that will be much closer to MSRP.

RDNA4 seems like a huge win so far, though. RT performance is markedly improved and it's punching way above its weight, which is something the GPU market sorely needs right now. Hope those that are in the market will be able to snag one, although I would imagine retailers have been able to stock up for weeks now.

@W1zzard will there be a separate FSR4 article? I noticed there aren't any FSR4 benchmarks and comparisons against DLSS.

I guess you all can see the nVidia driver superiority here worthy of more than $200 in price eh?

Make the 9070xt 700 € in Europe & my money is yours.

The pure & pulse are looking sweet!

Reference list price here €725... reference 5070ti €960. Now it's all down to how much stock AMD has managed to send out to stores, and obviously if those will be the actual prices. We'll know tomorrow!

LMAO we gonna see all the AMD fanboys love the 12V2x6 connector now!

Trolling aside, I like the design of this card. I do not like that it is 3 slots, nor that Sapphire wants $130 over MSRP for a different cooler and some magnets (how do they work?), but scalpers gonna scalp (and that includes AMD).

Power consumption is still bad compared to NVIDIA but I reckon a 9070 XT undervolted to 9070 levels will perform nicely. At least they fixed non-gaming power.

That would be true if the NVIDIA cards were available in any quantity... but they're not.
The mercury (w 3x8-pin) is literally better in W1zard's test. I don't think anyone cares about the connector. Some will still probably actively avoid it bc reasons.

They'll all perform well, TBH. Those graphs I showed are roughly standardized for lots of games. I think most models will get that extra ~1fps over what this does at stock w/ an OC, regardless of which.

A bit overvolted to get that extra 1-2% hurtig efficiency, but very good except for that. I'm impressed! Very good efficiency using v-sync! This seems like the 5700/XT launch where AMD gained a good marketshare in the following months :)

Looks like a bombshell went off!!
Can't wait to see a 20+GB version!

If the market is wide, then the scalping is harder!
This is great!

Wait for the new drivers,
it should be fixed soon!
Where did you get this info on the new drivers and CS2 ? Card looks great and if they can improve CS2 performance they can take my money!

I guess we'll see what AMD does. If they can't or won't supply MSRP models and rely on essentially scalping their own product - just like nvidia is doing - then I can't see how this ends up as a win for AMD.

Sold on the XT personally, fantastic performance and price (Well at least MSRP). Need a few of the lower models out there that will be at MSRP to be a true win. Either way though this card delivers what it promised.

I am curious how hard these will be to get overall. I hope supply keeps up!
