Well I tried to get one this morning. Order went through on Newegg but then they cancelled it about 10 minutes later due to insufficient supply.
Microcenter has plenty in Denver. Hour drive South for you and Hour drive North for me, unless Bestbuy still has some in stock at MSRP.

That's at least seems to be somewhat reasonable. Usually they are selling air for +150-300eur
This is the list price, $599 is €553. You have to add VAT (or IVA as we call it in Italy) which is 22% = €675. They probably took a margin on the exchange rate, which is why they rounded up to almost 700.

Amazon Italy did a strange thing. The regular 9070 went on sale for €675/680 (VAT included). But instead of adding 50/60 Euro for XT they added 150 Euro+.

They are using the same tactics as nvidia most likely! All msrp models are just mirage for idiots supply is not big enough.
Idk, supply seems quite good for these cards.

My local Microcenter has plenty of stock but not a single Nitro+

I still expect supply of these cards over next few weeks to be better than any Nvidia card. Idk what's going to happen to pricing though. I suspect all the cards available today were stock piled pre tarrifs and next batch will be more expensive due to tarrifs.

How is that even possible? Don't they have some kind of stocking system that stops orders from going through when stock has run out?

BestBuy doesn't carry any cards in-store. They sold out online in 3 minutes. Also XFX was the only manufacturer available from them this morning.

Same in Columbus, absolute piles of the things. Tons of models too, a lot of which are at MSRP. Can’t believe AMD didn’t fumble this one.

Meh, looks like US got lion's share of the stock.

Perhaps tariff fears had an impact too.

Can't find any online for MSRP though bots took them all. Thank goodness for Microcenter though.

It seems very likely, the EU is a better market for AMD, so allocating to the us not only is better because of tariffs but it's also a market where a lower price is more important to move units due to lesser popularity.

On the other hand they might create some resentment on the EU consumers let's see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

When launching IT products from US companies, we are somewhat sadly used to being seen as secondary or second-class customers.

We will see with the trade war on the horizon whether it will be even worse.

Sure, but if bots bought all the cards, then your order shouldn't even go through, right?

I agree, that's the most logical explanation.

I dont understand!

I was ASSURED by the AMD community that everyone would buy nvidia anyway, that nothing AMD did would ever work and they were doomed to sit on shelves.

how can they be out of stock?!?

I'm very tempted to drive to Micro center this weekend. 2+ hour drive but they have apparently over 200 9070xts of different flavors in stock. The 9070xt isnt as huge of a bump as I'd normally want but its still a tempting upgrade.

I went to two different Canada Computers, but they were sold out of the $599 MSRP cards. At least they seemed to be prioritizing in person orders.

There are cards in the US (seems 100's of them in a single microcenter), in the EU where AMD has better market share it was a paper lunch and for the rest of the world I don't know.

Considering that there is virtually no Nvidia supply I would expect it to be completely sold out every where. And it's true what they said, unless AMD sabotaged Nvidia supplies.
