RX 9070 availability

I'm curious, how is the availability where you live at? Is is as good as it was said to be?
As for me, here in Hungary it looks like it's even less available than the RTX 50 cards were on launch. Never saw either of them 'in stock' to order, but there are only a handful of scalper listings for RX cards, while RTX cards were a lot more already at the moment of release.
I find this really weird after hearing that retailers had the cards sitting around for months now...

Availability doesnt matter as they are most definitely all sold out anyway.

Russia. They are technically in stock but are sold for prohibitive prices. $1000 and beyond for XT; $900 for non-XT (VAT included).

Just looking at Scan and Overclockers UK, they have stocks of non XT still but they are priced where you can pick up XT if they are available.
9070 XT are all "sold" out on those sites, which says a lot as it is certainly one of the best value GPU card released in this over inflated era.

Well, I'm in Argentina so I'd not expect actual stock until at least a week or two down the line. All that is present right now are placeholder articles, but the pricing is likely to stick for a while between lack of proper stock and "early buyer's tax" (it will go down hopefully in just a month or two, realistically in three to six months)

Pricing target currently seems to be 1100 for the non XT, and anywhere between 1300 and 1500 USD for the XT. All taxes included (VAT 10.5% plus 21% customs and probably something else somewhere).

EDIT: The 9070 XTs are all the exact same Gigabyte model. Lol.

Just wait 3 months, there's little production constraints on them as they use gddr6.

People just buying the hype and massive fomo binge at launch.

Should be mountains of them available at msrp (or even less) by June.

Theres some talk about only the first lot of cards being sold at MSRP or close to MSRP because AMD are giving retailers some sort of rebate per card sold. This is only limited to the first lot of cards going out though.

I mean the price is always going to drop anyway but it might go high before it goes low.

Australia here.

I bought the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Pulse Gaming this morning at about 10am my time for $1299 AUD. This was one of the less expensive cards in the line-up. As soon as I checked the product listing after purchase the page said "sold out", so I think I snagged the last one. Even by this time, most of the other models had sold out.

It's just after 11pm here now, and after a day nearly all the 9070 XT listings on all my regular sites say "sold out". The exception is a Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC and an ASUS Radeon RX 9070 XT PRIME OC, both from different sites. Both of those models are on the high end of the price scale.

There are some listings which are marked as "in store only".

The 9070 "non XT" is a different story. There's quite a few listings of those for sale still. I'm guessing people are turned off by the value proposition of those, considering how close they are to the "XT" pricing. It will be interesting to see if these disappear over the coming days as well though.

Oc UK and Scan had plenty of stock for launch (around 4000 cards at Oc), but just like the legendary movie title, they were all "Gone In 60 Seconds".

Oc UK even commented on their forum that their cards should last several days. In reality, they lasted several minutes.

Now, you may be able to hunt down a few rare non-XTs, but XTs are sold out everywhere.

This is just bullshit from OcUk to sell their card stock.

Not sure why people trusting this coming from a retailer with a vested interest in selling cards ..

They're hardly likely to say they expect to have mountains of stock in 3 months, even if that's the case...

My go to- seller in Finland ~ 10mins ago:

9070: 700 - 912€, total left 27pcs
9070XT: 790 - 940€, total left 0pcs

I think I saw 620 or 660€ at launch. I might have a few screenshots, but I'm lazy. Anyway, prices went up.

Several models had over 25pcs in stock, I don't know how many, as that is the max shown for customers.

Decent stock over here, but only for the more expensive 9070 models, meaning €770-870. There are some XT's avaliable but they hover around €900 and above. Cheaper models listed at €670/€730, but not avaliable of course.

Put it this way, AMD had the kind of stock that would have been fine for their portion of the market. But NVIDIA buyers wanted these cards too since NVIDIA released nothing for their side of the market. All the MSRP cards were guaranteed to disappear.

A few leftover OC cards on eBay UK too. Even though these models aren't really worth it, they make it awkward for people trying to resell a 9070 above these prices. Same for the remaining XT models.

The only UK stock left is stock that has priced itself out of the market.

Nobody wants to pay £630 for a vanilla 9070 when a brand new 7800XT starts at £450 and they're all over eBay for £400. The 7800XT is 80% the performance of the 9070 and still has 16GB VRAM, which makes overpriced 9070 cards very unappealing.

That just tells me that the launch MSRP was never the true market equilibrium price, it was a marketing trick, a sleight of hand, to stoke demand up. The actual equilibrium price is much much higher.

And it will fall over time as it always does.

I stand by my statement.

Maybe. Or maybe stores got their inventory before the new US-China import tariffs kicked in, and all further stock will have it added on.
