As we live the age of game remakes, which game you would like to see to have a remake?

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw was more or less Wing Commander: Privateer with better graphics, minus the IP.

I agree that a true remake with some additional elements would be nice. Real dynamic campaign, for one.

None like this before and none quite like this since, despite a whole new crop of games in the same genre since the 2010s. A remake is sorely missed, but I wonder why.
Closest that came to Freelancer is everspace 2 for me, but still feel like it lacks the same charm.

Punchout Wii, Resident Evil 5, Halo 3 / Reach, Psychonauts.. Could go on and on.

Coming soon on GOG.

Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy X
Dino Crisis
Dine Crisis 2
Dragon Quest VIII
Resident Evil (in the style the remakes of 2 and 3 were done)
Resident Evil 2 and 3 (in the style the original remake was done, so borderline an "all out remaster")
Silent Hill 3 and 4 (now that we know 2 is being remade and it looks fantastic so far in my opinion)

Pretty sure I'm forgetting some others, so I'm sure I'll edit them in at some point later...
I... called it? Hoped for it? In any case, as a follow up pertaining to the bold titles I mentioned, apparently Bloober (the developer of the Silent Hill 2 remake for Konami) is again working on another project with/for Konami. This is following statements months ago that Bloober was working on something else instead after Silent Hill 2 (but they are known to work on multiple projects at once).

Speculation is that this could be a remake of Silent Hill 1 and/or 3, given the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake. I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of 4 eventually as well. That one wasn't as loved as the original trio back in the day, but it was liked more than any of the releases that came after, and it was "Team Silent's" last work in the series.

Konami could/should take a page out of Capcom's book here; continue the series by alternating between new releases and remakes. And... maybe that's sort of what they're doing? There are apparently two other new (?) entries revealed late 2022, "Silent Hill Townfall" and "Silent Hill F" (not sure if this is a placeholder project name or a real/final name?), but I haven't been following along on those too closely to see if both are still in development and coming (I just remember they are both by different teams and neither were Bloober, and that one of the two takes place in Japan in the past). So if this announcement of Konami working with Bloober does pertain to a Silent Hill title, there might be at least three new entries coming for the series (two new, and one unknown). Maybe put further emphasis on "at least" because if Silent Hill 1 or 3 is what gets remade, it almost begs for the other to also be remade as they are the two in the series that are sequels. Is Silent Hill back?

Also, I did think of another title to add to my list above, and that's Gex Enter the Gecko.

Whelp... on top of the above speculative remake(s), two more classics are confirmed to be getting remakes, Tony Hawk 3 and 4. While I never really played these, I remember how popular and well received they were back in the day.

Suikoden I & II Remasters also releases in a few days.

I feel like I'm watching all these great games from that era get remade and I'm thrilled for them... but at the same time it makes me feel like...

"Squaresoftie... where is Final Fantasy IX already!?"

This isn't a complaint to rush it whether it's coming or not, but it's a playful tease at how bad I want it when all these other games are getting such good remakes!

Whens Skate 3 gonna get a remake? Amazing competitor to the tony hawk games. Would like to see tony hawks underground remade, too.

I'm not sure since skating games aren't my area of familiarity. One of my friends back then had a brother and I recall he was really into those games though. I think he may have actually skated.

I just saw the news and it reminded me of yet another case of classic games getting remade and I wanted to use the opportunity to moan about how I want a certain other game to join them in that.

But these were supposedly really good in their time and the remake for the first two were apparently good as well, so this is probably good news for fans of those games.

OT: because a remake is hard to conceive making the jump from a very time and graphically bound environment.

Cool Boarders (PS1) snowboarding game franchise was right up there with THPS in terms of immensely enjoyable gameplay. Real beauty of a Japanese market arcade game forcing you to embrace going a step beyond reality. One of the best bone crunchers of the era.

Sorta more on topic. A remake of T&C Surf and Skate would be phenomenal(ly ballsy in the predominant climate). Pool Jousting was rad enough quite a few people decided to pass the controller and go check out another room at the party. Want to say the soundtrack had some better moments too.

I would like, big cough, Skyrim remake. But with a current engine, without most of the unfixable engine bugs, and with graphics not made by a lazy autist and then upscaled by factor of screw me in the arse.

Nexus Mods are there for all of that
1: Unofficial Skyrim special edition patch for engine bugs
2: 4K texture packs for everything
3: 4K hi poly Player/NPC bodies/faces

Yeah, I wasn't talking about that

War of the monsters on PS2.

Duke Nukem - Manhattan Project
Soldier Of Fortune
Need For Speed 2 - Special Edition
4x4 Evolution 2

Nice way to make every piece of sim equipment on the market obsolete and highly inferior to purpose.

a new installment for sega GT 2002

Tomb Raider Underworld will hopefully get a remake in a few years.
I remember when I used to play this game on the ASUS HD 3650 Silent 512 MB.
I think Coastal Thailand is the most enjoyable level in the Tomb Raider series.
Tomb Raider I-III have already had a remake by Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr.

Freedom Fighters deserves a remake if not an outright full sequel. The open world aspect could be more emphasized, the maps could be a lot bigger, and the enemy AIs can be a lot smarter. It could be glorious.

All the Halos 343 made.
That requires a complete creative reboot, not a remake. The plot of those Halo games are not up to par.

Spiritual Warfare.
Blaster Master.
Magic carpet 1+2 and Fury 3, but mostly for fog distance.
Earth Siege 1+2 and Ultima Underworld 1+2, controls and fog distance.
Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen. These graphics were dated at release, imo.
The Armored Cores before dual stick movement/look was a thing.
Ultima 7 Serpent Isle with the real ending.
Ultima 8 and 9, just an overhaul for everything. Sometimes I pretend those games don't exist.

Soldier Of Fortune II: Double Helix
Twisted Metal II: World Tour
Return To Castle Wolfenstein

Will add the Metal Gear Solid games. With MGS3 getting a remake, I assume they will go ahead and do MS1, MGS2 and MGS4 eventually. Only did MGS5 so they will be new to me.
