Post your 3dmark06 HD 3K Series Results

Swiftech MCW60 is what I'm using on my pair of 3870's. That block plus ram sinks do a great job with less flow restriction than a full cover block. But I dont know of a full cover block for them yet. If its out there please share it with us..

I had my MCW60 on my 3870 for a few days until this one came in, and my systems flow did drop but it was very minimally, nothing to worry about, and I was really fed up with how many slots the mcw60 took up inside the case.

I get a feeling that a lot of these cards, while they get good ratings in 3dmark06, would crash and burn after a few hours of gameplay. lol

Those numbers that I post are the same that I play games on, I played crysis on 877core/1386mem for over 2 hours. No errors, when I had my core at 904 I got driver response errors and the driver would reset, so i only bench at what my card can play games at. I feel that is the best representation of a benchmark, because if it cant play games(what its made for), then what is it worth?

i would get rid off the 4 side fans and keep the one up top, back (were the 120mm rad would go) the 2 at the bottom ( were the 2 x 120mm rad would go) and the 2 up front

one radiator on the bottom would be really cool. I wanted to do that too but I couldnt find a case that would accomidate. It looks like the bottom there on yours is mesh, so as long as you could blow the fans through the radiator I dont see why not.

that case is the stacker 830 right?

thats the same thing Im going for, getting it up to the latest chipset(and i dont think x48 will support ddr2) so i am going x38, im gonna stick with my q6600, 4gbs ocz gold 800, im adding an additional 3870, and im gonna stop for the next few years. I have spent way to much on my computer in the last 2 years(upwards of 5 g's) and i want to get something Im happy with and stick with it for awhile.

For some reason I dont think thats gonna happen, I think I love doing work on my computer just as much as using my computer. And ever since moving to a Core2 I have had the itch to upgrade over and over.

Grr... Lost my screen shot, I'll have to clock again just to do it...

*NOT STABLE* - For gaming and such, stable and looked good for the test, also had to open the side of my case....

But my machine @ 3600 1:1 ram, my card at 770/1004 I did just barely over 11k... It was like 11004 or something... I'll do it again here sometime and get a screen shot

i have two basic system speeds.. one with everything right on the edge for bragging rights.. "benching"..

one a nice stable easy on everything about 10% slower than balls out speed for everyday use.. i have abit guru so can swop to my benching speeds at the click of a mouse button..

without guru i would just run the one guaranteed stable but slightly slower speed..

if i had to piss about in the bios just to get max scores for benching i woudnt bother.. so in some ways i have an advantage..

Maximus Formula SE
Won't boot on x9 CPU but goes more than that on FSB... unstable after 2hours or so of running.
but this settup is running for abit now stable

the maximus formula is the board that im gonna buy in the next few weeks, I have one but they sent me the non SE, so i returned it, and now I cannot get a SE anywhere. SO im just gonna pick up another formula. They seem to be one of the best x38 DDR2 boards, what was that about abit? they are running stable?
