So if I flash to the 830/ 1200 Bios, what does it change except from the speeds?? will I be able to past 860 then??

Sorry if thats a silly question just not sure :eek:

It changes your speeds and fixes a PLL error in the original BIOS that limits the core clocks to 862.

Cool, I'll give it a go when I get in from work.

Is it the bios file download from the mod page? "the PLL fix bios(named RV670 XT.BIN)" this one??

it wont be gaming stable up there past the 862 mark.. even if u think it is.. it needs a volt mod for that..

oh man what an hour

. I installed the new bios, everything went ok, benched at 880/ 1387 went ok, rebooted to put the proc speed up, booted back into windows........corrupt files :wtf:

. I eventually managed to get the display driver uninstalled then booted fine. I don't want to go through that again lol. thought I was gonna have to do a reinstall

.

I will muck about abit more though see what the card can do now

Well i pushed farther and this is the fastest I can get to. Im really pushing for that 14100, but I think I might need some V Mods for that to work

OK internet is finally back,f'en NEX3 :mad:

Raised Vmod to 1.3v and upped my FSB with the help of roll off voltage from my pci-e slot. I'll be getting a new MOBO in a few days so anyone want a MSI 975X cheap?

. I tested P35 and X38 with CF and if u want CF, please dont use a P35, its terrible! Problems with 2d/3d switch with the 2nd card, bad performance and so on.

heres my best upto now,i forgot to grap the screenie of gpu-z

.It was at 840mhz core and 999mhz mem tho',same cpu speed as the others.I have taken the vmod off while i refine it a bit.

EDIT-i did a validation at 840mhz,so here it is.

Were you using any fan control? Running the core @ 880 for a bench would require the fans to be a little more "active" than they re curenly progammed. :rolleyes:

I have an hr03gt with a 120 fan on it, the temps @860 never go above 52c

Mine was max 54c on my 3850 with core at 840/1.36v running 3d06.

Its not much of an improvement considering the overclock, but its also on Vista compared to the original score on XP. Its around a 100-200 point hit from XP to Vista. Once i get my pencil mod done, expect scores around ~12k.

Well Ive noticed that the difference is closer to 200-300, I personally have a difference of over 300
