Kup, u think that bios would work on my sapphire cards too?? Im limited now with my OCing on these cards, I get stuck around 877, not that I should complain I guess......

I might do, it seems to have helped most other people, regardless of original brand.

GPU clock is actually 897 but GPU-z shows 837 no matter where I'm at.

Yep!

No wonder HIS is selling the non turbo so cheap... They have a gang of trained monkeys making the bios for it.:shadedshu This cooling works great though, before the flash 28c, after 34c. :rockout:

Now I need to find a camera and update my case gallery before those HD4k cards start rolling out. I'm also waiting on my Phenom, then we'll see what two 3870's plus two 3850's can do in Vista. Quadfire here we come!!!

What did you have the vCore set in your BIOS to reach 4.2? CPU-z shows 1.432, is that what it took to be stable or were you just making sure you gave it enough to make it through a run?

what happens if they are bios modded to start at say 890 if they can run it individually...may be the only way for now....bios mods that is!

Thats what Im waiting for, you know whats weird DR, I installed Vista and its allowing me to run at 885, but I cannot OC my proc at all

I went from 4.2 in XP to only getting 3.7 in Vista. LAME

Ahh well, hey, how would I use Riva to OC both cards. Every time I tried it would mess up on me, and I would have to use CCC

That may be. I guess I could be a guinea pig when I get my mobo back.

I still insist that it is temp related. These smaller process chips just seem to be more sensitive. Those with full coverage block are the only ones who have gone above 877, as far as I can see. So either PCB crosstalk, RAM heat or GPU heat is holding us back.

I can't use rivatuner to OC my cards, because it detects my second card as 2D clocks. And CCC maxes out at 837.

Try AMD GPU Clock Tool, that works for me, to oc both cards.

But it doesnt work for me, it says no valid devices. It might be from 64bit..... It says it supports vista 64, but it doesnt say it supports xp

I got my water cooling stalled today, now i'm having problems getting 4.4Ghz. I can get 4.3 stable, i don't get it! :mad:
