Well at 100% the fan is SO LOUD! and it will clock to about the same as the other his :banghead:

im thinking about flashing the card with a his turbo bios to see if it will oc to 850. going to check the V on the card though.

would that help at all though?

New high:

Climbed 4 spaces, i believe

My new chipset cooler (Noctua NH-U6) came and i dared increasing a tad bit, and i also removed 2 of the 4 DIMMs i had. Still waiting for my new case and CPU cooler: can't find the NH-U9B cooler anywhere, here in Portugal ... ARGH ... i hope my hardware supplier can manage to get it ...

I'm using Vista 64 SP1, btw.

the graphics card overclocked will help but i find it doesnt give as much points as a good cpu overclock good luck with it anyway freaksavior.

TBH m8 i can run 3.6ghz great with amazing temps but when i tweak the preformance options it puts alot more strain on the fsb and i had to crank up the NB voltage to get stable this also puts the overall cpu temps up too its a hard balance.

Flashing the bios worked for me, so I can recommend it, though I'm starting to learn about Radeon Bios Editor right now.

For the fans, I always have sides and fronts blowing in, top and back blowing out.

Hmmm... just came across this bios with a PLL VCO Divider fix?! Could this be what your cards need freaksavior?!

After looking through the bios in the editor, it uses bone stock clocks. I'll try changing them to 850/1190.

Better yet though, could you give me your bios?
*I'm in the middle of trying to make a good HIS bios with turbo clocks and a fan locked in at around 89%.

This is the highest i can go right now, i might be able to get something higher after i get a better PSu and clock up my card again.

RAM @ 886Mhz
GPU @ 800/900 [had to underclock 25hz because of my shitty PSU:shadedshu]

Btw, warup, you should turn off as many processes and programs as possible when running 3d06. With all that stuff running that I see, your score is being hampered. TURN AERO OFF!!!

thats true, i left it open since i had enough ram to support it[i think], but nothing is better, ill run 3d mark again later today with all the extra stuff closed.

there ya go. i want 850 and maybe 1250 on the mem. i can hit 810 easy and 1200

Hmm.. RBE won't let me open that file? (extracted) I'll find another Diamond bios and use that. Do you want your fan set at anything in particular? Do you want powerplay to lower your clocks in 2d/low power 3d mode?

Well... here you go! I hope it works for you as I didn't increase the voltage, but I have it locked in at 850/1190 with 89% fan speed. Use at own risk. I really hope it works.

I have no idea, and is 1250 to much? if so i can live with 1200

im about to head off to work so when i get back (6 1/2 hours) i'll flash it and see what we get. haven't ran 3dmark on it at all yet.

I just flashed one last night that was 875/1250. Ran much cooler than the 830/1200 BIOS from iax-tech!
Some give your oodles of OC room in CCC (like 1500 core!) some only got to 900 or so.

Here are the latest I've been switching between. The HD3780OC is the one I mentioned.

The second one might interest you. It kinda follows the comment I made regarding Powerplay issues (if you notice any).

I'll see what I can do. Each card is different and each brand/revision/SKU has different points to Solder to but I'll see if I can round up a few of the more common ones and get a guide going.

I think if I can hit 1100MHz Core on air I'll be happy! :eek:
