you should get another card volt modded and oc that 6700 to 4ghz you might whoop my score then 23995 hehe.

they were Sapphire cards, my HIS can take volts all the way up to OCP which, IIRC is 1.9V.

Iv never gone higher than 1.75v, if your HIS can do 1.9v Mine too!

just voltage with the water cooling and a fan. Thanks The Haunted !! It only took frying a card and killing myself for a week

OK, so I just ran a run with the cards @ 1030/1286.

The highest I can score is 21k. I ran the cards @ 900 just as a test, and I score 20800. So I think my cards are limited now by the proc. As crazy as it sounds I think I bottlenecked my CPU

So a q6700 @ 4ghz or higher should get me where I have been shooting for!!!

Got my q6700 for 299 at the egg, and it came with a free copy of UT3

Yah, I hit 1.9 and I get no boot

No more voltage higher than 1.6 for awhile though. That was scary!!!

I can't get benchmark stable clocks over 1080, even with 1.9v without getting a brown screen of death.
It still handle the atitool cube at 1121 mhz though...

I am a new user of the HD 3k series, i have the HIS HD 3870 X2 and im wondering if it is even possible to clock the second core, im bout to buy a E8400 3.0GHZ and i have 4X 1GB 667 ram, with windows XP. is there a program that will clock bloth cores and let you boost the fan speed?

Ordering new ram this week, G Skill DDR2-1000 2x2gb kit. That should get me past my 4.4Ghz barrier i have with this crap ram i have now... then i'll have a 20k Dual core (i hope) :ohwell:

WOW: i made top ten :rockout:

With the new case, i was able to overclock the vid card a bit more, while leaving the CPU @ the same overclock: that 250mm side fan DOES come handy ...

In my previous high score, i removed the overclock of the vid card before the screenshot ... :confused:

but i believe it had 850 / 1233, though i'm not sure.

Just to let you know, when it says your core is at 837, it's at 837. You have to bump your OC up to about 852 to get 850.
