CPU-Z says the ram divider is 1:1, the second part i dont quite understand, in the BIOS i have manually set the ram to the lowest setting of 533mhz (stock fsb is 266) to get the 1:1 divider
got into windows at 470x8, but bsod with mem dump during run of 3dmark vantage, other than upping the fsb strap to nb to 400mhz all the other settings are the same, i find it kind of odd that ddr 800 mem would have a hard time running at 940mhz with 2.1v and good timings, could it be something that corsair says they are 5-5-5-18 and i am running them at 5-5-5-15?
lol yes I don't have high hopes. He isn't pc savvy at all, and to 'clean up' his pc he took out cpu+heat sink... then reinserted cpu+heatsink at once, didn't notice cpu fits only one way, kept forcing it...
Aren't the pins much thinner than paperclips though? Well anyway that's good news... I might be able to fix my friend's pc, though things don't look nice because he put in the cpu without the pin, powered up pc and said he smelt burning toast... :/
Hi hope you're OK. Listen, I saw R-T-B's thread, can CPU pins be fixed easily? Got a friend here who broke his off... I thought broken pins meant it's a write-off?
Hi there, hope you don't mind me putting the razer and logitech logos into the signature? Thought I'd tell you since I just made a very raw copy/paste in paint...
