Look at the ram slots; the v2 Z400 should have 6, if it only has 4 ram slots then 3500's series is all it will take as far as I'm aware. looks like you can go upto a W3580 in the v1 z400...

That is a good plan, if you look at the single core difference; its not that much, I'd rather have 2x 5675 myself as I do production stuff. Plus, you can fit a decent amount of RAM and drives in the Z600's. I'm always on the hunt for good prices on Z420's and Z440's. I've found some great...

I think your good, can you go to your bios and check the boot block date? should say 2011 or 2013... From memory, i'm sure the 2013 will work; I own some Z420's (they use the same BIOS)

When i turn the computer, only the mother board logo showing and nothing works

can you reset the bios? and like the others said; remove all extra's..... if you see the motherboard logo; that it actually a good thing. 99% of the time, if you get this far; your main components should be fine.. the issue could be any number things, bad over clock, overheating cpu (because of...

    M.2 for legacy mainboard

Sorry to say, but I don't think you will get much better speeds with an NMVE (if you get it to work) It will be bottle necked by the CPU, MEM speed & possibly the chipset. At the time of this board, SSD's were all SATA 6.0... You could use it for a data drive maybe?

if your boot block BIOS is 2013, with the latest update. it should support NVME https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Boot-and-Lockup/Z620-M2-NVME-support-in-bios-update/td-p/7038538

Sorry man, i think its this socket.. "LGA 2011-1 (Socket R2), an updated generation of the socket and the successor of LGA 1567, is used for Ivy Bridge-EX (Xeon E7 v2),[6] Haswell-EX (Xeon E7 v3) and Broadwell-EX (Xeon E7 v4) CPUs, which were released in February 2014, May 2015 and July 2016...

Apple to Develop the Metal Family of GPUs, Dump AMD Radeon

My thoughts exactly; I think you may have answered your own question, their focus may not be on creative professionals. I'm no expert, but I don't think they can match AMD or Nvidia... I just cant see how its possible.
