It's been proven, many of times, that a GPU can have all the above. Great cooling, aesthetics, class-leading perf, etc. BUT it always depends on the most devoted/HIGH-INTEGRITY oem, etc. to make it a reality.

This, it doesn't have to be only one way.
Personally I like flashier cards 'like my previous EVGA FTW 3 GTX 1070' but I can also appreciate more simple looking cards like my current TuF 3060 Ti. 'barely any RGB and its all metal with no fancy colors, looks pretty good in my system tho and it performs just as well'

I do like the look of the RDNA 2 Devil cards too and Sapphire cards, one of my regrets for not going AMD cause I always wanted one of those, oh well maybe next time in a few years.:)

On a side note, that marketing text is just cringe and some ppl not wanting specific but perfectly good cards cause of the naming yeah I guess I heard something new today.

No that I really give a sh*t, but since there are so many here that appear to be concerned about the name of this model, hows about "The Big Red One", "Red Radeon" or perhaps "Red 7900"...

Maybe we should do a poll, then send the responses to PowerColor, since it hasn't been officially released yet, they could still change the name. Yea I know da Utuberz would cry foul like the wimpz they are, but f'em anyways hahahaha....:)

I have a 5700XT Red Devil, I got it specifically because the fans don't spin up until the GPU hits 50C, so perfect with my ultra low noise build when not gaming. Of all of the 5700XT models it was clearly the best option for me, and it was actually cheaper than the next nearest option (from Sapphire). I have been very pleased with it. If the next generation of cards has a model that fits my needs, and isn't a crazy price, I will upgrade, I tend to upgrade every other generation or two.

As for the guy bitching about the name of a product, thanks for the entertainment, and don't worry about the "Satanic" name of your graphics card that is assembled in Communist China by virtual slaves who get sent to a "re-education camp" if they are caught practising Religion, I am sure that they really care about the name on the card. There are a great many things in this World that are far more important to complain about than the literal name of a product.! Also, please don't reply, this is political/religious enough already (and boring), and I don't want to be accused of escalation or going OT.

So back to the product in question, the "Red Devil" cards have all been excellent performers so far, hopefully this card will be a worthy successor. However several of the AIB cards are reported to be using modified 4090 coolers, so massive overkill. If this is true, it explains the 4-slot design, but should also be an exceptional product in terms of cooling / noise.

Only a few weeks to wait for reviews, and I will be reading/watching some of them, with the 7900XTX Red Devil being to card I have the highest expectations for, but wont be buying, why, because I am not spending that amount of money on a Graphics card... As the "high end" has risen to insane price levels over the last few years, I will be looking to buy a "mid range" card, or perhaps skip this generation of cards, or a half generation and look at the 7x50 lineup which is likely to bring a good performance bump at the same price, or with a minimal increase.

I can make any card silent. It depends on the settings in the software.
So, I guess the cheapest option is also the lowest quality option?

It's obviously a triple-fan card and PowerColor has equipped it with some LED lights as one would expect.
I like the look of this card! Fit's my existing PC perfectly!

With its restless desire to rule the universe but no wish to see any light,
Devil 13, the ruler of the underworld created a new Devil to rise from the underworld and master all creatures.
Red Devil as he was named,
known to be the only Devil besides his creator to master all elements of the Pentagon;
Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Void,
it's presence was feared by all corners of the new world.
Ever since, no one dared to challenge Devil's true gaming empire

We will have first to see how much 7900XT/X cards can overclock when having more power available. But even then I would never ever put a quad slot brick in my case. Others will happily buy them.
2.5GHz stock -> 3GHz OC'd. AMD has already stated the clocks can go this high. AIB partners will be able to go as high as 500W

What I'm saying is that by everybody wanting to be different - they all end up looking similar. I can only give points to Sapphire for maintaining a rather simple design for many cards, but im not a fan of where they are going with recent product launches. Sapphire to me will stay a cut above the rest for Radeon thanks to a rich history of designs that make more sense than others.

By now, I expect most designs from AIBs to remain the same as their GeForce ones, and those who are AMD exclusive to look tacky as the one shown here by Powercolor. Not a fan, but again, this is very much my own personal opinion. I might be in the minority here.
You don't like Power Color's 6900XT? I thought it was one of the coolest looking cards to date. MSI's Supreme 4090 is awfully pretty too.

I need you to post more. LoL

Thats a perfect cooler to take off and replace with a waterblock
Power Color has the Liquid Devil for people like you. If I'm not mistaken, those cards also have the high binned chips as well. 6900XT LD pictured below.

I don't think they said they will do 3GHz, but that they are designed to go 3Ghz. That wording has me suspicious of what they will actually do without LN2.

I always had a thing for the red devils. Have 2 of those. Vega64 and 6900xt.
These look really nice. I'm waiting for the new AMD cards but I doubt I will take one home with me. 6900xt is still plenty capable. Maybe later on at some point when the 7000 series GPUs drop in price or something.

I'm rocking an RD 6900XT as well, but I believe I'm jumping ship for the first time in a couple decades. I'll pick up the 4090Ti UNLESS ATi has a dual GPU resting in the wings that has some insane levels of raytracing that slaps hard AF in 4K. I have time since I'm waiting for a 240hz QD-OLED 4K panel. C'mon CES!

4090 Ti will be overrated and overpriced in my opinion just like 4090 currently is. RT sure it is ok but it is not a game changer and I refuse to pay $2.4k (where I live) for 4090 or $3k or around for a 4090 ti when it is released. Some games still struggle with FPS when RT is enabled. RT is great but we are not there yet with performance.

It'll be watercooled and the shroud looks like a sandal :D

It floats, too. When they reuse it for the 4090, it'll allow you to attach a sail and cross the ocean.

There is no RTX 4090/4080 Green devil, unfortunately, would fit much better ;)

They can introduce a new card: Powercolor RX 7900 XTX Red Heart :)

It was on it's slides, that the architecture was designed to go beyond 3GHz. But there was also a rumor, probably one of those rumors that we should ignore, that the original revision of the chip couldn't go over 2.8GHz because of a bug. If this somehow ends up correct, these first custom models, no matter how many power plugs will have on them, would be hitting a lower than expected ceiling.
That's why I am saying"let's see first how they overclock".
I would never buy a card called "devil".
Me neither. People wouldn't understand that, because things that are somewhat connected with religion today are either ignored, or not taken seriously as in the past. They would understand on the other hand why someone wouldn't buy a card called "Nazi" for example.
I don't. It's more hot than cool, and is associated with the evil, it's the extreme negative.
Usually teenagers find evil cool because it looks bada_s_s. I mean, on one side you have the peace loving angel and on the other side the blood thirsty demon. Most will assosiate the blood thirsty demon with power, meaning their new graphics card represents power. Something like that.

If you've been waiting for years for a product that meets your gaming desires, you'll pay for it (if you have the means). 4K high refresh gaming is something I've always wanted and its basically here... just waiting for the right monitor.

RX 7900XT is a much more cut-down Navi31 regarding gpu specs and memory than what RX6800XT was to full Navi21.
So essentially if we had in Navi21 launch a similar (theoretically) cut-down Navi21 part it would have lower MSRP than $649 RX6800XT.
Why none is complaining for a +45% increase (let's assume $620 vs $900) is strange indeed.
Probably the naming decision (7900XT instead of 7800XT) for the cut-down Navi31 part played a role plus there is the shock from RTX 4080 increase (+71%)
If someone feels that RTX4080 should have been at the same price as RTX3080 ($699) and If RTX4080 proves to be similar in raster performance vs 7900XT (just like RTX3080 was to RX6800XT) then in the same way it should feel that RX7900XT should have been at the same price as RX6800XT ($649)...

They mentioned "Devil 13" in their marketing spiel. I wonder if they're bringing it back as their "halo" level branding (a la Sapphire's Atomic and Toxic), back when Devil 13 was used to differentiate it from the regular Red Devil (or just plain Devil) variants. Notably, the then-halo Radeon 295x2 Devil 13 while the 270 came in just regular Devil branding.
