QVLs are very important
I would agree with this conditionally. QVL's are great when a new RAM standard is introduced. However, after about a year to 18months, they're effectively useless as by that time everyone manufacturing is up to speed and up to snuff on the specs.

That said, at this point in time QVLs for DDR5 are not very useful at all.

IMHO QVL is lame as addressed earlier.
I would also agree with this conditionally, and for the reasons stated above.

QVL's are really only helpful during the initial stages of release for a RAM standard and diminish in usefulness as time progresses and manufacturers dial things in.

Thank you guy's for all the replies,

Apparently G.Skill decided to finally put a thermal pad on the PMIC on ther CU-DIMM ck lineup so hopefully this will help with the cooling...
I may have forgot to say if i buy a 8400mhz or maybe a 8800mhz cu-dimm kit i will keep it at XMP if needed tweak in case of instability.
And yes i will use QVL as per motherboard manufacturers website in this case Asrock for the Asrock Z890i Nova (ITX).
Some OC on the 285k which will help performance. Using a Lian Li A3 matx case. So...think il be doing a full custom loop with an external Aquacomputer AMS (Airplex Modulrarity System) 480mm full copper rad and a AC Cuplex with Vision cpu block. (not new to watercooling been doing it since 2009).

Had doubts about a AIO cpu cooler it will fit the case as long as the rad is 27mm thick but seeing the beefy VRM heatsink on the mb it may result in issues + AIO tend to be noisy.

A two ram slot mb it is so this should help me with higher speeds above 8800mhz (not that i will go any higher then XMP) it's more for stability plus has 10 layer pcb hope i made a good choice with the mb.
This just leaves me with the brand ive heard here Crucial is good why is this compared to say G.Skill, Team Group and Kingston?
Is micron more geared to stability then Hynix?

Some one stated to get a higher speed RAM kit then you intend thats what i was planning to do too want 8400mhz but probably get 8800mhz just in case i wont get the full xmp 8800mhz probaly need to tone it down 200 to 400mhz.
