AMD and NGreedia are de facto killing DIY PC segment of the market. They could forbidden direct sales from AIBs to miners, but they've clearly chosen not to. They could easily say to Sapphire, Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte, Zotac, Sapphire, MSI &co no more Ampere/RDNA2 chips for you if you don't deliver 90% of GPUs to retailers and AIBs would obey them, cause alternative would mean the end for many of these companies. That shows us that AMD and NVidia don't give a flying F who buys their GPUs as long as they retain/increase their high profit margins. That will cause DIY PC market to shrink to ultra high end enthusiasts in the long run, but both companies have shown that they really don't care. Which is strange, especially from Nvidia standpoint (profit spreadsheet).
