AMD Ryzen Benchmarks Leaked - Amazing Multi-core and Single-core Performance

The way I see it is Ryzen is a well designed CPU tech. Lower watts needed to run circles around its competition that require more power. Seeing various leaked benchmarks, Ryzen will end up being the top dog in IPC.

I think thats overly optimistic. In multi-threaded scenarios the CPUs might really offer much better performance, but in single threaded scenarios they will probably struggle with the competition, because of the low clocks (exception being the top octocores). I also don't think the power consumption will be much better (if at all) as the competition.

Makes me wonder if this is the best Ryzen can boost to when only one core is active (with 45W headroom vs intel)?

Because my old trusty ivy bridge i5 with modest 4.2 GHz turbo oc gets single threaded score of 2329
By my calculation, this looks like 3.7 GHz manually set turbo on intel 6900K, to match Ryzen I guess ... one would expect higher turbo boost clocks on ryzen with 95W vs 140W difference

or it could be stock 4.5 GHz one core turbo for kaby, and stock 4.0 GHz one core turbo for 6900K ... but then idk how I get 2.3k

That's pure speculation. We are talking about a new CPU design. AMD knows full well if this fails they fail.
A Jim Keller based design is a definite WIN in my Book.
Clock Speeds help but are not the deciding factor. In the past the Athlon 64 (Lower Clocked) blew circles around Intel's best.

Which test was that, with running circles around, sigh?

We have seen Ryzen chip running in AMD controlled environment vs i7, both consuming roughly the same power and taking rougthly the same time to complete the blender test.
