Anyone knows how exactly Bios Switch works on GPUs ?

My XFX Rx 580 card this button broke. the plastic actuator broke off, so I took the entire button off the PCB.

Card was running on one bitcoin mining bios. in my case, it was enough to flash the bios using the programs available here (RX-580P8DFD6)
and the RX580 now has gaming/regular parameters

I am wondering whether to solder another button, I have one from HD 7970?

You can find the correct switch from any device, it does not need to come from GFX card. I was going through a lot of junk non GFX cards/PSU & I just happen to spot the switch which looked familiar to what on GFX card. To my surprised it's the same switch in everyway. Carefully de-solder without overheating it, then solder switch to GFX card.

I can't remember where I found my switch, but I think It came from a dead mobile portable USB router, but it can be found on almost any device.
