Sadly, I'm still troubleshooting.

I've had these issues for longer than I can remember honestly, over a year at the very least.

To clarify, I only really got stuck into troubleshooting at the end of last year during my "holidays" - It hasn't felt like a holiday doing this lol

Did you guys already try to play without Network-access?
- Unplug lan-cable / disable WIFI and Bluetooth

We have a lot of threads on similar issues and it's usually just bad default settings on motherboards.
These are 142W CPUs, the same power as a 5950x3D at stock - not every motherboard can handle that without VRM issues.

The VRM's aren't magical, when they overheat they simply put out lower voltages and the CPU downclocks until it's recovered - causing a stutter.

Theres also people setting up their RAM totally wrong on AM4 following over-simplified instructions (3200MT/s is the highest officially supported speed with two single rank modules) and many boards *require* XMP enabled before they raise SoC voltage to levels needed to keep that stable, so people try XMP on and off and neither work right because they need XMP on, but lowered than the maximum (DDR4 3600 with XMP enabled, but at 3200, 3133, etc etc)

Eco mode is one good way to test things without the wattage limits, as well as slapping a room fan blowing onto that area of the motherboard. Weirdly, no one ever wants to actually test things in these help threads - they just want an easy fix without diagnosing their actual issue.

for me this has only started happening recently, around december time. there has been reports of cpu degredation on windows 11 23H2 https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/comments/17ytpxr and issues with nvidia drivers since 546 https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/19ehx1r (read the comments on this discussion post, most say they have a similar issue.) i have tried messing with bios settings (spread spectrum, CPPC, c-states, -20 all core PBO) but havent tried changing any voltages. although i have also been having ram/OS drive issues causing bsods (which has been fixed each time by either removing cmos or retraining ram). my ram ( 2 2x8 3600mhz corsair vengence rgb pro bought seperately, with one being v3.31 micron b die and the other set being 3.34 speculated micron e die) has to be trained one after the other when this happens, if not it will boot loop /bsod loop. this ram issue has been there longer than this stuttering issue seemingly has. so i dont know if my case is just ram causing system instability. i have tried tried keeping on xmp and lowering the ram speed to 3200mhz and lowering fclk clock to 1600mhz didnt change any SoC voltage due to not having that much knowledge of ram timings/overclocking, i have only done this yesterday so this will need more testing but so far it doesnt seem to alleviate the issue, although it might also just be a compatibility issue with my motherboards (b450 tomahawk max) QVL list. for 5000 series it doesnt seem to support the corsair vengence ram officially, nor any speed over 2666.

just checked the SoC voltage quickly whilst in a game (squad) and it only maxed out to 1.06v

should i increase the SoC voltage to 1.15? ive seen that recommended for 5800x3d. i dont really want to do it unless someone with knowledge on RAM/CPU overclocking recommends it.

just checked the BIOS and it couldnt get a stable vcore voltage over 1.142v. i was changing pbo settings and lowering it to -15 all core and the voltage would spike, (1.148/1.152) but would drop back down to 1.142v. could this be a PSU issue? or the motherboard? i also think i heard a sort of crackling/popping noise, but it couldve been a carbonated drink sitting nearby. didnt hear it when loading into windows

Lets not forget, the original poster replaced his motherbaord and had the same issues https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...-ex-5800x3d-stutter-topic.304484/post-4995334
After helping a real-world friend on his fourth attempt at rebuilding his 5600x, he had three motherboards in a row that were all utter trash.

two of them (gigabyte B350 and B450) ran his SoC voltage at 1.21v when XMP was enabled and triggered an internal throttle on the CPU, the third had overheating VRMs at stock, and the fourth just had a stutter issue from low SoC (0.95v with SoC on, he has DDR4 3600)

There are many, many bad AM4 motherboards. It's atrocious and unforgivable but "new" does not mean "problem free' and people are very very bad at providing information like HWinfo screenshots, especially with before/after changing settings like XMP - they change MORE than just the RAM speed and timings!

Another friend has returned his third prebuilt before they refused on the fourth and brought it to me, and the problem is just his shitty 144Hz VA panel monitor. With Freesync it flickers brightness, without, it stutters. He cant maintain 144FPS at all times, so he has a visually stuttery mess where nothing was actually wrong with the PC hardware.

i think something similar is happening to me, with only 2x8 RAM installed in the A2 and B2 i got a steady 1.250vcore voltage, but when installed the other set, (took me an hour because of how finicky it was to train the ram, either it not being detected in windows but being detected in bios or the system just not booting all together, got a CPU light and a DRAM light.) after finally reinstalling them and them being detected it dropped to around 1.23/1.20. there also seemed to be some thermal paste on the bottom side of my cpu. tried using isopropyl alcohol to wipe it off but it didnt budge, and i dont have anything small enough to scrape it without possibly bending a pin. also the DRAM voltage seemed lower than before doing this, it was around 1.376, and during only two being installed it dropped to 1.232v although that could just be the additional two sticks. added a picture of the bottomside of my cpu, sorry for the blurry image as i had to take a photo with the other hand, and didnt really want to hold the cpu longer than needed lol, im gonna take it to a computer repair shop soon and ask if they are able to stress test the RAM and maybe optimise the timings and if theyre able to clean the cpu,

added zentimings

also the PCIE 16x slot on my motherboard isnt outputting 16x, only 8x8x. so could this be a contact issue with the pins due to the thermal paste? im honestly grasping at straws with this issue, been trying to troubleshoot it for nearly a month.

My SoC voltage is only 1.00v should i try to increase it? sorry if it seems that im trying to takeover this thread with my problem, i just dont really know what to do. especially with voltages. i dont want to touch anything without someone more knowledgeable recommending it first

another weird thing is that nzxt cam isnt detecting a ram stick but both the BIOS and task manager are
