OFFICIAL Cyberpunk 2077 Game Discussion

Now all the top management are leaving CDPR, leaving an empty shell of what was one of the best gaming company :/

Back to topic, this game is DOA and for future too. CDPR "effed" real good, hope they are proud.
DOA? I don't think so. My experience, which of course is subjective in comparison to others who may have suffered serious issues, has been 99% problem free.
Maybe two or three crashes to desktop since I bought it shortly after release and two of those were for the infamous AMD RX 5700 XT drivers timing out.

You know it was a rigged fight. Backstage handshaking behind CDPR and NVidia.

Yeah someone was paid to lose, as of today... I'd say it's CDPR. Funny vid though.

I have had a likewise enjoyable experience. I've had no CTDs though. There have been a few glitches and bugs, but nothing game-breaking and all have been fixed(AFAIK).

What we need is all the whiners to quit with the pointless CDPR bashing.

I still haven't beat Dragon Age Origins and its a game genuinely enjoy and want to beat. So the way I look at a game like Cyberpunk 2077, well I have plenty of time for it get polished and expansions to come out, etc. lol

I AM HOPING to beat DAO this year btw... since i only have my gtx 1070 laptop now, i have to play my backlog of games

Yes it's certainly going to be interesting to see what is going to be contained in their first DLC for this game. Will it be additional world area and new jobs or will it be stuff that was ripped out from what the original game was shown to be

DAO is definitely worth finishing. It's a great game. It is long though.

I'm working on my backlog right now. So far I'm up to games from 1994. Honestly I wouldn't have to buy any new games and still have my backlog which will take years and years to play through. :)

I'm still looking at some games on the GOG Summer Sale and the Steam Summer Sale is coming on the 26th of this month.

Same here. No CTDs. Think I had to return to main menu a few times to fix some glitches but that was about the most intrusive thing I had to deal with.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I feel like the majority of the people with PC hardware capable of playing it that are complaining are the people that got reeled in hook, line, and sinker on the marketing for the game. Did CDPR hype the shit out of it? Of course they did, they’re going to market the game as much as they can so they can sell as many copies and pre-orders as possible. Personally I didn’t pay much attention to the marketing and all that. I remember seeing something about CP2077 a few years ago, said “that looks cool” to myself, and went about my business. Your expectations can’t be shattered if you don’t set them high (or at all) to begin with. Is the game perfect? Of course not. But if you go into with little to no expectation of what it will hold, it’s a solid game. I’ve certainly gotten my money’s worth, and while I haven’t played it in a few months, I’m sure I’ll hop back in down the road once some DLC comes out.

CDPR hyped the game but they weren't the only ones. A good bit of the hype came from fellow gamers. Game news sites had their part in it as well.

This. I had some reasonable expectations and was not disappointed.

And those are coming. At least two are planned.

This also.

Complaints about marketing and reality being totally different are perfectly understandable, but on the other hand, who the hell still believes marketing crap in 2021?

As for the game, I agree. It's like a faithful girlfriend: if you don't expect her to be Pamela Anderson with 3 PhDs, you're in for a good time. You have to let it get to you instead of expecting it to be something it's not.

For sure.
This. I had some reasonable expectations and was not disappointed.
Exactly. Was I a bit disappointed to find out the game wasn't a Cyberpunk-themed GTAV/RDR2-esque open world filled with immersive side activities like gambling, vehicle customization, etc.? Sure, but if all the attention you give that disappointment is "Man, it would've been cool if they did X" or "They could've done Y here it would've been awesome" and then go about playing the actual product that was provided to you, you're bound to have a lot more of an enjoyable experience.

That's not to say I don't recognize the flaws the game had/has. Just that you can still have a very positive experience in my opinion if you focus on what it does right instead of the things it didn't.

The main reason I keep playing this game is because of the glitches and bugs like my post above with the suicide that shit was just funny AF I can't wait for the next stupid thing to happen but inbetween those times it can get boring driving/running round shooting and looting but real good bit of fun to have is when you go to the border crossing and try to escape I do this every now and then just to shoot the shit out of border guards and drones

When you thought things couldn't get any worse for CDP:

They deserve to be bashed, rightfully so, they over promised then under delivered, and lied about the state of the game, they put strict embargoes not to show other than their own gameplay on Review trying to gaslight consumers to maximizing launch sales, they rushed the game for holiday sales to please Investors and share holders instead of being honest to their audience , ect,ect....

even when its fixed, its a shell of all the fake unrealistic goals that they kept promising and wouldn't shut Up about.

All that good will tarnished to the ground, and exposed cdpr as not the golden goose of AAA gaming we've all wanted to believe

Oh, and remember in the apology video where the said they their testing didnt show most of the problems that were experience by players well, in the leaked bugs reel by internal CDPR devs it shows a date of DEC 7 2020 (skip to 0:39 ) , the same month as the game launched .... so that's another lie !

But that's just sad dont you think, The game of the generation, reduced to a bugs and glitches bloopers

Maybe because they didnt know that awesome vertical slice that was creating a lot of hype was pre rendered, fake, and heavily scripted.

DOA? I don't think so.
Oh but they DID effed up real hard, the game will forever be remembered as a disastrous launch that sank CDPR rep to the the dirt, dropping their stock value, and pissing off investors and gamers that lawsuits have been thrown at them left and right.

Look how many games got delayed after the disastrous launch of Cyberjunk, it was so disruptive, that companies like Ubisoft openly stating they are showcasing their cross gen games on old gen consoles to avoid what happend to cyberpunk, when companies like Ubisoft are learning from your mistakes, you'v done fudged it up bro

That is an opinion not supported by merit.
Excuse me ?

Isn’t that a case of the publishers getting caught pushing out games in beta status, and now their trying to look like the good guys after CDPR’s Cyberpunk incident?

No, they saw the destructive effects of such disastrous launch, such as stock values tanking and investor's publicly filing lawsuits against CDPR, wanting the mangers of the companies to be held accountable for all the deceiving lies the game was built upon, that they just thought it would be nice to delay the game for extra polish and not have to deal with all that headache, simple as THAT.

The "release it broken fix it later" tactic that the frauds at CDPR learned from other shady publishers failed miserably, all that to maximize profits when stock values were at an all time high and holiday season is perfect for maximizing sales

I mean the game got removed from the PS store, to give you an idea how bad that is, the only game that got removed from the PS store is Afro samurai, a game so bad, we'v have to invent a new word in the dictionary cause no word can paint how bad that game was, Cyberpunk is with that game in the hall of shame.... let that sink in

"We leave greed to other" My ass

Perhaps, although Ubisoft and some others are guilty of the same tactics even though it never bit them in the ass like it did CDPR.
