P.S - is it me, or do the PS2 ports look bent/on an angle in that last pic (back panel ports)

Nah I think thats just the perspective, look at the hdmi port.
Lol at the marketing bs 'Get up to a 70% increase in overall visual performance!'.. wtf does that even mean? :laugh:
 
I love this board. Great IGP performance for HTPC enthusiasts (or when your main GPU goes kaput). Too bad it doesn't seem to support SLI. It won't matter though, Nehalem is right around the corner so most of these boards will be obsolete anyway.

Really? Nehalem looks like a flop to me, with the minimal gains from its apparent improvements.

it gets 70% faster in 3dmark 99 compared to a riva TnT2 :P

There a several unigue features on this board. The major one being that we finally have a Hybrid SLi board on the Intel side of things. Beyond that, what more do you really want for a budget motherboard? If you want unigue new features look at high end boards, not budget boards like this.

Though for a budget board, I have to say it has some nice features. Onboard, Power and Reset switches, 8-Pin CPU connectors, and almost all the caps are solid. It also has a reset cmos button located in the middle of the board(a good location actually).

They are more than likely just taking 3DMark06 numbers compared to nVidia's 630i solution, or maybe one of Intels integrated solutions.

Yeah, I noticed that eVGA didn't mention it anywhere, but I know the chipset supports it. After a little research, it seems Hybrid SLi is covered under the "nVidia Geforce Boost Technology", they cover this in the video actually. Saddly, only the 8400GT or 8500GT cards actually support Hybrid SLi currently.
 
I thought Nvidia gave up making chips..
 
Uhm... they're more or less going to though, as once Intel stop using DMI, Nvidia doesn't really have a license. And it wasn't false as such, as they won't have a Core i7 chipset and as of right now there's not a single word on them doing any new AMD chipsets or even anything for the LGA 1160 versions of Nehalem. This chipset was meant to launch back in March or April, so how late are they now? They showed boards at Computex and that was in June, it's now what, mid October... good going Nv :shadedshu
 
all of you want to see something drastically new?! what is going to change from one board to another besides layout, bios, and chipset? nothing. there all going to do the same thing eventually one way or another.

Personally i like the looks and layout of this boad. if its cheap. Could be a great budget board.
 
Just got home(cant see pics at school) the board actually looks really good. I like the color scheme of it. I hope it OC's good.

seriously, is this a new marketing scheme? put soldered bios chips so that they can sell another board when people brick their own?

O RLY? :roll: LMAO...you *really* need to crawl out of that basement and visit new websites, the anti-Intel ones you're visiting now are playing tricks on your mind. Or, you might be looking at the graphs upside down, in which case I would suggest lowering the dosage of Ambien a tad... :D

would the onboard work for a physx processing unit?
 
I don't think I'd want my GPU to be an integrated nvidia one, they seem to fail pretty good....
