Yea, I'm still on the fence over PVP. I want it to be good, but I think I'm more excited over Skyrim with VR and how it will interact with mobile users. I do like what I've heard about 76 so far.

What's nice is that Bethesda said that it is possible to do the entire game solo.

Also, you have to accept pvp and only if you want. If you turn off pvp anyone who attacks you will only do you a minimal amount of damage. And if he keeps attacking you notwithstanding he'll get a ''wanted'' status giving a bounty to other players who can hunt him down and kill him.
The damage becomes realistic only if you accept pvp and shoot or hit back.

Yup, saw that, altho I fully expect jackasses to follow people who are flagged "non-pvp", and jump in front of them attacking mobs. I also remember my days in WoW and how easy it could be to train a group of mobs on someone.

I dunno I had it pre-ordered but just this past week or FINALLY gave it a chance. It still doesn’t grab me like the previous ones but I’m finally warming up after multiple false starts. But it does still feel empty to me compared to previous. My point is if FO4 feels empty and uninteresting FO76 will be an absolute snooze with no NPC interactions relying on real players(who I have no interest in seeing) to film the world. I have absolutely zero interest in PVP in any form in any game.

And the classic of inviting a noob into the group for some serious adventuring and then dopping him far away from civilization. These days WoW is so easy though so it wouldn't matter one bit, but in the olden days it would have been punishing, especially if yoi happened to play a priest.

Fallout 4 killed whatever hype there was for Fallout.

I think that is quite accurate. But not Fallout 4 itself per-se but the fact that 76 looks oh so similar to it. Engine. Engine. Engine. When will Bethesda get the message. I've watched quite a bit of gameplay footage now and man, I wouldn't pay to play this anytime soon. The same clunky gunplay and movement... the same early 2000's experience... and now with endless player griefing and a constant stream of exploit fixes and tweaks to combat it. Bethesda has far too little experience with massively online gameplay, it shows every time.

anyone looking for Beta keys, they can be bought pretty cheap (0.69c for xboxone, & $1.00 for PC) i found them on Cdkeys. I got my nephew a couple, since his brother has the actual preorder, and they wanted to play together. just keep in mind, theres a 55Gb Download that comes with those beta keys, so be ready to DL your A$$ off.

Fallout: New Vegas was good. I warmed up to Fallout 4 after installing a slew of different mods for more content, but also had to play it in Survival mode. Still on the fence about Fallout 76.

After playing FO4VR I can't go back to playing it pancake style... I would have already bought it, but knowing Bethesda there will be a VR version for the same price. Plus, I don't like the fact that it's not on Steam.

I like Fallout 4. I don't want to play another Fallout 4... ...only online and from what I've seen watered down.

But then all I can think when I see stuff like this from them is "Where is TES 6?" Stuff like this just seems like a waste of resources to me. I mean, how successful can a game like this really be? Does anybody waiting for the next major title from them need a tieover? I mean, their main releases are fricking huge. You can basically play them forever. I still enjoy 3 and NV. Honestly I think I'd rather go back and play those over picking up 76. This franchise doesn't need side-titles. All anybody really wants to see from them is the next fully-honed title, not a half-baked repackaging of the last one. I mean this is Bethesda, but this is a whole nother level of taking the last release and putting it out there again... ...this is barely a new game imo.

I dunno, just my opinion. I have no desire to pick this up. I'm still enjoying FO4. And chances are good I'll be playing NV again soon. Or maybe Skyrim. I get enough out of those that it's kinda gotta be "Go big or go home." as far as I'm concerned. I didn't ask for this. I don't want this. I want a fully fledged new game from them. If I want to play the old games, I already can... ...without a bunch of stuff I didn't ask for. 76 just doesn't bring what I play these games for, and in some ways it actually takes away from that.

I never finished F4 even tho I tried like 3 times. Seeing how beta goes with 76 I got very low hopes even buying this game. Fallout is not and probably wont be as I knew it back in 2000 :(.

As you get older, your taste for games changes. I actually was just speaking about this in regards to red dead redemption ,and how a generation of gamers looked so fondly upon the older version ,and that preorder sales aside ,it was my feeling that the new one won't do so well.

Played two beta sessions and really enjoyed it. Met a lot of players and not one griefed so that was a plus. Most people I met were friendly and some had me cracking up with their antics. All in all this game is not perfect but it is fun and if you play with friends even more so. Me and three friends plan to run together and that alone might help against griefers too.

Watching that video, I'm convinced that BethSoft pushed the game out the door to gauge interest in fixing/finishing it. They already blew a lot of cash on it, it isn't working out, so they need to know whether or not to cut their losses and run or to invest a lot of time (money) in polishing it.

I bought two copies, one for each of the kids. It's an awful game if you're playing alone, unless you love repetitious boring rinse and repeat missions. And I'm aware it is more fun with multiplayer (that goes for any multiplayer game), but being that fallout has huge "single player loving" fan base ,in my opinion ,it was a bad decision to go with this game type. They said at announcement that it would be "fun for both multiplayer and single player lovers", 50% of that is a lie, and 50% of that you have quotes around the word fun. Multiplayer enjoyment is dependent upon other players, and if your friends are only available on weekends, or evening, youve just bought a game thats only truly playable at those times, in a sense, you've bought a game that can only be played occasionally.

Imo, 2/10 . Im a HUGE lover of Fallout, this release broke my heart, i can only hope they release a better version somehow in an update, or gamemode release DLC?

seems liek a trend of devs to dissapoint recently. first EA/DICE with bWaatlefailed5, then This, and then Diaster Diablo mobile:shadedshu:

Was so excited for a new fallout, and so disappointed by this game. It's fallout, so you wander around and collect garbage for 10 hours or so, enough to make a decent base, you build towers and top them with machinegun turrets, spend all your hard earned trash and when finished you log out. Next login, someone has taken over your base, all your materials and everything you built are theirs now. Not bad enough? Random players will murder you for no reason, and they're all higher level than you. I would not recommend this game unless you like to be punished for playing. Also it cannot be played offline, and there is no single player campaign.

Tsk Tsk. Not in good faith there, bud. Clearly you haven't seen where you have to pay $13 a month or a measly $100 a year (if you're smart.) Bethesda IS looking out for us, solving all of our problems! Just like they always have and always will! Honestly I'm a bit offended. Next you're going to tell me that they would in fact make moves that are completely tone deaf and show a total disregard for their fans and what they actually want! But they say all of the time that it's all for us, the players! How can you doubt that?

With the business practices they started picking up... honestly, as far back as creation club, I've been progressively losing faith. It's a nice way to try to regain faith, but most people would probably be happy to have the first one or two things on that list for free. Do they really think anybody is going to be happy to pay a renewable fee on top just to unlock pseudo-single-player functionality? And then they want to sweeten the deal with that IGP crap that there's been so much outrage about? Do they really think this will actually help? I'm actually chuckling as I type this. Sometimes I think they genuinely do not know where their fanbase is at and why their games were so popular in the first place. They actually think it's because it's Fallout. Good luck to em...
