I always put 01-01-1980. If that date was good enough for the original IBM PC, it's good enough for me.

It is just a guess from my part, but that wrap looks very much headset and case-styled for me. Also, if you take the Epic logo seriously, it may be PCBS2.

Completely true. Also true: the original PC did not have a persistent (battery-backed) system clock, so every time you turned it on and booted into DOS it defaulted to a date of January 1, 1980.

Funny how when I always hear "XT" I immediately think of Radeon cards. Not an ancient PC from 40 years ago.

And I know thet it's a hella important part of PC history, but it was just a better version of the OG PC. AT was hella much better.

Contrary to another Bethesda games, this games fall to more "casual" category, I don't understand why so much hate for being mediocre, I enjoyed playing this game to 90%++ completion.

And I know thet it's a hella important part of PC history, but it was just a better version of the OG PC. AT was hella much better.

Onboard CMOS battery arrived with the AT. There were other workarounds (interposers, expansion cards, etc.) in the PC and XT eras.

EDIT: After reading some negative feedback on the Steam forums, a number of user are saying stick to the original release. I have full back-up of the original & I suggest anyone that has the original do a full backup then upgrade. This way you have two version.

EDIT UPDATE: No need for backup. I can confirm my account now contains both version of the game, concern over.

I got this Game. Downloaded it. Created my character, snuck unto my ship, got my first mission, got my first side mission, learn how to use the knife on the way and the Game freezes, every time it loads. I do think the base Game was a part of GOG and am going to look in my library for it. Epic or whoever needs to fix this asap. I only have so many Vacation days to get into what will carry me through winter and this was looking good after watching a Gameplay video on Youtube and trying it for myself.
