OFFICIAL Game Soundtracks You Love

Some Honkai: Star Rail OST

SPOILER for those who are playing the game and didn't finish the 2.2 update !!!!

Street Fighter V -Ryu Theme

Sucks we never got these opening track for the western release:
Yakuza zero
Yakuza Kiwami

2 months to go

Finished 1 biggish playthrough of Stellar blade to get the "secret"/canon ending, solid 8/10 and hope Shift Up can continue developing awesome games and a sequel to Stellar Blade too.

I've always liked Oblivion's soundtrack:

The best game soundtrack ever, if you ask me. Right next to that of The Witcher 1 and 3 and Homeworld.

I'm currently playing Nier: Automata, which isn't half bad soundtrack-wise, either.

For me it's Legacy of the Wizard, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Y's, Final Fantasy, LifeForce, Contra, Castlevania, Double Dragon, River City Ransom, Gauntlet, Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Eternal Champions, Phantasy Star, Ultima, Ghouls n Ghosts, Megaman, Street Fighter, Kid Icarus, Metroid, Zelda, and some other nostalgic stuff that I missed can't name everything and some stuff was more memorable and less memorable overall. I'm big on retro VGM.

SOR2 has possibly my all-time favorite OST

The battle themes on Canon of Vengeance route for SMTV: Vengeance.

Nothing beats the first DeusEx game soundtrack, except for the original Blizzard's games such as Diablo I and II, StarCraft and Warcraft 2/3.
After all those years, still cannot find a game to match even 50% of those soundtracks quality and atmo they provide to a game.

Metal Gear Solid, final fantasy 7,8,9,10,12, doom 2016, crysis crysis warhead

Doom (and Final Doom), but PSX version,
A little exemple of dark, ambiant and sinister music :

I almost forgot the OST that I loved the most. IMO one of the best, if not the absolute best, OST music is during PS1 era because the 3D graphics is only begin traction, the music in-game takes center stage. One of my favorite track is from Legend of Mana. Hard to pick which one as all of them sounds great. If I have to pick one I take this one, Places of Soul. It brings tears to my eyes everytime I listen to it. It brings me back to late 90's; the place, people, memory just rushing in...

The other great music is Brave Fencer Musashi. I played the game on one of the PSX demo disc and it immediately got me hooked and made me purchase the full game. If I'm not mistaken the demo comes with Final Fantasy VII though I never played FFVII (yeah funny I know). The absolute best music in-game is the castle music. It started pretty basic but as you save more people it, also unlocks more musician to play more instrument, and become a whole orchestra. It such a wonderful piece of art

Ahh, tracker music -- among my most loved genres! OG Deus Ex OST is definitely one of my all-time favorites
Here's another game that makes great use of tracked compositions:

A brilliant concept, and the music is really nice too!

Breath of fire 4 had some really good tracks.
The opening video was a sign of a epic adventure.
This playing in various parts of the game.
The final boss battle theme.

DOOM wouldn't be even enjoyable without his music.

Black Ops 1 menu music is a bass test pretty much.

Its been nearly a decade now, but... I really liked Superbeat Xonic's presentation and music.

---------

I recently beat 8-X in Dance of Fire and Ice. Good song too.

Someone else's playthrough:

Damn this sounds dope even today.
