I’m just pointing this out but do you guys agree modern game soundtracks isn’t very memorable? Compare to game soundtracks from the past… it might be a me thing personally but that’s how I felt… I can’t recall any recent soundtracks that is good and memorable… apart from the dragonborn song from Skyrim…

I want to like cyberpunk 2077 but I’ve given the game 4 runs just doesn’t stick with me, I have no trouble with playing fallout but not cyberpunk.. neither with the Witcher series and Skyrim… I’ve tried Witcher 3 like 5x…I know i sound like a broken record but I’m just being honest…

I know what you mean I loved Aquanox but can't get it to run under Windows 8, 8.1, 10 or 11 despite trying everything on the net that says how to and windows own compatibility modes I wish they'd make a remake of it able to run under modern OS's

"Doctor" S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 (aka, "The Last Wish"}

(not aka, "Get Off My Lawn")

Is there a place for covers?

I can really recommend 'Grissini Project'

::EDIT II::

Booted this game up on my laptop for the first time with the new controller :laugh: 25-35fps with medium settings. UHD620 is putting in WORK :roll:

::EDIT III::

Who doesn't love Crash's invincibility music? :D

Playlist for the night

Zenless

Some SMW custom bangers

Anyone say "we hate warmongers", but eager to backstab?

Shame can't embed more than 5 per post, until the next one :rockout:

God of War Ragnarok

Playing both of those tracks at the same time sounds like one song

Ezio’s Family

Yeah, Kaer Morhen especially, is my favourite.

I love the intro music to Starcraft (the main menu). I takes me back to when I was 21 in 1996. The summer nights, the night air. Playing games not a worry in the world.

The 90s and pc gaming/pc tech were great. Good times to be a young adult!

OST (5 tracks) from the game NET:Zone.
It was published in 1996 and as a game it was okay-ish. Very entertaining though :) But I somehow liked the music they used the most.
A few years ago I found the CD-ROM again in a box and on it was the OST in MP3. So, just sharing it for those who want to listen or have memories of the game.
My favourite is the 1st track which, in essence, is one long electric guitar solo.

The creator of the soundtrack also commented on YouTube, so that's also fun :)

I wonder who the guitarist was it sounds like a young Joe Satriani or maybe Steve Vai or Yngwie Malmsteen

This of course depends on what you mean by "memorable". Are they memorable because you had <10 games and you played them a lot?

Definately more 10 games, i suppose one could debate more about memorable. I could have used the wrong word..
perhaps.. catchy (maybe not), epic (maybe certain soundtracks)

take metal gear solid (ps1) for example is one of my all time favorite games.. and ive completed it 3x ... is that alot?
the soundtrack in that game is just superb to me... 80% of it i liked...

then compare to another of my favorite game (first tomb raider reboot) finished it 100% the second time..
but i dont remember any of its soundtrack...

also there are a ton of titles ive yet to play probably have some great music..
could be just a me thing, you and others have different take on music personally

It's also about age, and the culture and whatever and family and shit you grew up in. MGS 1 was released in 1998. How much video game music was there in your life, at that point? How many Great Games had you played at that point? I think the soundtrack to Sonic 2 for the Mega Drive is really good, probably because that was one of the six games I had for the Mega Drive and I played it a lot and the game was really good.

I fully understand what you mean, but there are kids growing up today who in 25-30 years will say the same thing as you but they will talk about video game music from 2024. I see people say things like "they don't make movies like this anymore!!" and they talk about Scary Movie, a movie we made fun of specifically because it was so much worse and dumber than comedies we grew up with.

Martha is Dead. Truly a masterpiece. Colour palette, sounds, gameplay, story and music. Absolutely amazing.
