what does this mean? lol... oh ati fan right? lol ahh flaming the thread.. how typical...
at least say it so it makes sense..lol..

so, what how did nvidia was? lol is that english?
and fyi.. the 8800 stomps ati lol.. theres no if's and's or butts about it now from what I been hearing.. and it's exactly what I expected..
That really depends on what you are talking about. Current offerings? Yes, nVidia wins, hands down.
DX10? We have absolutely no idea, as we don't even have anything to test with.
vs. R600? Again. we have absolutely no idea, as we don't have anything to test against.

they make products for people who cant afford the best products.. they are what they are..
And from the perspective of most of us in this forum, this is what is most important. Most of us can't afford top end, anyway.

you want an aswome car u buy from ferrari. u want something that sounds awsome but isn't quite as great.. u buy from mitsubishi... it is what it is.. lol..

ati is mitsubishi and nvidia is ferrari.. deal with it... lol.. just like AMD..lol..
This is a terrible analogy to prove your point. While Ferraris may be great cars, they are stupidly overpriced. I can buy a Mitsubishi EVO for $30k, dump another $20k into it, and completely embarrass ANY Ferarri, and spend 1/12 the money doing it. Hmmmm, waitaminute, you just made an argument FOR ATI/AMD. Weird.

well, you don't get cars, that's for sure. You think it's easy (or even possible) to "soup up" a ferrari? It's not like you can just go down to the local parts store to do it -- it'd probably cost you half as much as the price you paid for it.

anyway, blah blah nvidia, blah blah, ati.

but if you could afford it.. you would do it..lol.. therein lies my point..lol.. how can this be so hard to comprehend? lol... just like i could afford a thermo cooler and dual core intel cpu and an 8800 geforce.. lol.. so i did it.. why? because i want the best I can afford.. im not rich. if i was i'd have a 8800 gtx's in sli on an asus striker..lol.. but i do what I can.. fyi i have remounted my own motor, done all kinds of basic maintenance and insalled sterio systems in cars.. apparently you dont get cars.. or people..lol.. lamborghinis dont come with sun roofs.. but some have them.. why? because people modify them ( my dad built custom cars fyi and raced them)... because they can afford it.. as would i if i could afford it..

Benpi NOONE who has an 8800 spend their money wrong since it is better than the 7950GX2 in DX9 and the only card capable of playing DX10 games ( along with the rest of the 8xxx) and all that 6+ months prior to the ATI counterpart.
WHEN Ati releases the R600 ( which wont be better according to their own reps ) we will see how good or bad it is and how much better or worse the 8800 is.
However with the 8800 Ultra out and the 8900 around the corner even IF the R600 is better i doubt it will have enough time to enjoy it :)
-.- another extremely defensive 8800 user.

I never said that the 7950GX2 is better than 8800, and would trade my 7950gx2 for an 8800 any day. What I said was, I use the top DX9 card, which happens to be NVidia, and I'm waiting to see what ATI has to offer before I go and blow my wad on a DX10 card. Nobody on this board knows 100% that the 8800 will be better than the R600. I don't feel it necessary to blow my wad on an 8800 just yet since there are no DX10 games, and the upcoming R600 has the posibility of PWNing the 8800; maybe. We'll just have to wait and see.

Speak for yourself. I can afford an 8800. Why? Because I don't just blow my money without shopping around. I could easily buy an 8800, but I like to buy the best stuff. Im not saying the 8800 will beat the R600, but since there's no DX10 game right now, I'd rather wait until I know for sure which card is the best before I go spend 600 dollars.

If the R600 turns out to be a better card - for me, it's would have been worth the wait.

If the R600 turns out to be a worse card - for me, I don't care since there are no DX10 games anyway. It'd have been like owning an unregistered Ferrari that you can't use.

Yes, I can easily make the mitsu beat even a modified Ferarri, for still 1/6 of the price of a stock Ferarri, let alone a modified one. And yes, you can upgrade a video card to a point. Volt-mods with better cooling.

And I'm glad you're happy with your 8800. Your statement before was just a bit on the fanboy side. I have nothing against the 8800. I just want to see what ATI brings to the table, as we all should.
