possibly..but im leaning away from that, because i've enabled it, and the character was still speaking.

This is a mod that changes the voice of trevor to Nikos voice from GTA 5, while I know this is not what you want, this mod may be able to provide some insight on the file locations of these audio files you are looking for. Remember to make back ups!

i have a question for anyone who might be able to shed some light on this matter. I am interested in removing the speaking from gta5...i dont want any of the player/character's swearing and shit(just to clarify, i am speaking about the stuff they say when you crash while driving,ALL of the commentary...id like to JUST censor the swearing, but i dont think thats possible) can i get rid of it? i am looking in the audio folder in my GTAV directory, and i can see a bunch of files, i just rather not start deleting.

This is obviously not helpful, but why on earth did you buy the game when you are offended by this?

im not offended. I find the constant dialogue annoying. I'd also like to remove the swearing for personal preferences , me wanting to remove audio content is no different than someone who wants different audio, or replaces audio with something they prefer more, or any other mod for that matter. I never said i was offended by anything, im guessing you just presumed that was the reason(since i specified swearing), but its not.

Are there any missions that 2, or 3 people can play in a closed /invite/clan only match? I have been looking for something that I wont need to involve strangers in, because every mission we find on our map in our private online servers, the mission, or challenges all end up populating with other "not invited" players. any help is appreciated.

Hit "Start" go to "Online" and select "Options". Find Matchmaking and switch it to closed.

i did that. However, i think that when in online mode, ALL mission/activities are only playable with More than 2 players. IO could Easily be wrong (as i know almost nothing about GTA online) but , as of yet I still haven't found a mission that 2 of us can play together....thanks for that though erocker

Make a txt file in the games directory called commandline

Inside there paste -frameLimit 1

The game will run 60 fps smooth no spikes, no vsync needed

Wouldn't enabling frame limit to 60 mean vsync?

Basically have already been forcing 59FPS through afterburner and have eliminated 99% of stutter.

I have everything set to max except: Shadow, Reflect, Grass set to high... 2xMSAA... I have extended distance turned up to half, along with high resolution shadows/ high detail streaming while flying enabled.

I disable V-Sync in game, and enable through NV CP, then limit fps to 59. Funny enough, its like turning MSAA on 2x forces the game to use more GPU power and takes a bit off of the CPU it seems, its actually made my game run better. Basically playing stutter free.... on a GTX 970... latest nvidia drivers

Has anyone been expeiencing popping , or crackling in theyre speakers lately? It happens in game,during launch,whenever,but ive only ever noticed it in gta5,and a while back in minecraft storymode.ive changed audio output,but still there,its seems kind of hit or miss,sometimes its there,sometimes not

I feel like I have heard it before when the game is launching.... But not sure if its an actual crackling noise, or just the start of the gunshots when the game is launching and playing the initial animation. Overall I haven't really noticed it if its there. Perhaps its something else causing it?

Off topic but on my 8350 build on my Sabertooth 990FX I have an odd crackle/static sound that goes through the speakers whenever the computer is shut off.

yeah, i get it @ launch too, ive found Some stuff online about it, but nothing helpful. I never noticed it until Minecraft storymode was giving me the same problem, but im running GTA now, and its happening, its REALLY annoying too. if anyone is reading this, and has a fix, please hit me up...ive exhausted my ideas. thanks

I messed around with sample rate, and bit depth and got a setting to rnu as of yet without the issue, so hopefully that will be the end of the problem. for those that are curious, i went to 16 bit. @ 441000 Hz, and got no "feedback" , i also found some luck @ my current 24bit & 441000Hz.

No I haven't experienced that, with my Logitech Z323 2.1 speakers.

What I do experience since the last update is when I startup the game social club pops up as usual and logs in, but then about 10 seconds nothing, after about 10 seconds I'm getting the first loading screen, rockstar logos and sirenes and I have it installed on SSD.

yeah , i have a bigger Samsung 850 Evo, and its on that as well....harmon kardon speakers...i fixed it though.with the steps above in my earlier post.

anyone have experience, or know what might be causing this crash one of my pc's is experiencing?? the message my kid is getting after 10-30 minutes of gameplay is..
"ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT"
the machine had never had an issue until this evening, and now its happened 3 times. No driver updates. or updates of any kind, no changes @ all. it looks to me like its a Direct x 3d error, maybe changing to dx 10 or whatever the ingame settings will allow, ill try that. but i just wanted to get a jumpstart on this matter, and see if anyone knows of the cause, or of a solution.

i3 4160
8Gb ram
HD 6950
samsung 850 evo

**EDIT** switching from Direct X 11 to 10.1 has resolved the problem AFAIK . I would assume that DX10 would also resolve the issue if anyone finds themselves in this situation.

I have gotten that error before, but not recently.

GTA V has got to be the most intermittent acting game I have ever seen. I don't know if its just cause I have a lot of the game modded or what, but I swear one day I will play for 4 hours straight with no problems, and the next day the game will freeze after 5 minutes EVERY TIME, then I restart my computer and it works again somehow. Its very random to me it seems, and it seems like MOST people are having at least some sort of crashing/lagging/stuttering problem all around intermittently. Maybe its some kind of memory leak or something at play we just can't see.

Edit - Was using latest Nvidia drivers - I reverted back to the Witcher driver (352.86) the one realeased just after the GTA V driver. Have not had the game Freeze/Crash yet after 30 minutes, even though I have been using those drivers without issue for over a week.

I was derpin around with this mod last night and its really cool...

VATS + compass + crosshair all added into the GTA V world.

Also too, every NPC around the world can be talked to, people can give you assassination quests, or you can tell the NPC to follow you as a bodyguard. You can basically have conversations with people now in GTA V.

The VATS system works pretty well too.

So I'm using Nvidia Inspector to lock the fps to 40 fps, I wanted to test again how the game would run without the fps lock, but for some reason Nvidia Inspector does not save frame limiter "Off", it stays at 40 fps now

Does anyone know to where that value of "40 fps" is saved to?
Can I open that file with notepad and set it to "Off" manually and then save it?

I was playing GTA V, then I gave my dad the xbox360 controller he then just pressed some buttons and suddenly the sportscar turned into a convertible,
the roof was gone while it was not really a convertible!!

I'm unable to replicate it!
Does anyone know this?

Edit: D-pad R, It was a hardtop convertible, never knew that

Which car was it? I'm going to guess.... Sentinel XS? Or the Sentinel. If you hold right on the directional pad, it will open the sun roof on the car, or use any special function it may have.

Or when you say it "turned into a convertible" does that mean the entire 3D model changed? Some cars look like they have a hard top, buts its a fold down roof in some cases. Merdedez has them IRL, and some other companies too.

It was a carbonizzare, I always drive it!

I'm pretty sure that's my favorite car in the "sports" class. One of the few that isn't squirrly as hell.

I was reading on another forum, someone said it's like driving on ice, well I'd say it handles nicely (with xbox360 controller), and I love the looks of it!
