Every GTA game I have played has never let me down and I am 100% positive that this one is better than all that came before..!

That's a good idea! I didn't eat much lunch due to running home and installing new drivers so I'll be ready when I'm off of work lol.

Yea, I'm ready to be off work.. lol I've had RDP and Exchange server issues for the past 2 days.. I've had around 100 people stop by my office and tell me their email isn't working.. I hope my keyboard can take the ass kicking I'm going to give it tonight in GTA V... lol My Deathadder will be weeping. hehe I need to load up TS.

Never been a fan of the series... I will try to stay open-minded, especially if it is a FPS now.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the series myself. However the fact its FPS make a huge difference for me. This will be my first GTA game because its FPS and multiplayer. Ill post in here with non-biased feedback for ya.,

No need for us to both blow 59 bucks if it sucks.

Guys, I know GTA V PC has been given some special treatments, like first person view option, but have they tweaked the driving physics at all?

At launch most said it was worse than GTA IV. Some even complained that GTA IV handling was too slippery and floaty, but once I got used to it I could handle it no problem even on Keyboard.

My main concern with GTA V is it looks like the cars pivot at the center vs swing the front end to steer, and all the vids I've seen show people having to constantly correct their steering because of it. Very twitchy looking.

I don't mind if they added a bit more weight and grip to the vehicles, but if the cars constantly twitch, I'd almost rather go back to what GTA IV had.

Is there a DRM free retail dvd version for PC? I'd like to physically own the game, as I own every other GTA game on physical disk. I'd like to install on my two computers too. Don't want to buy a retail DVD copy and then enter a code or something that gives me one time account use.

Lol I have unpacking on my SSD and its still taking a while

half of game it unpacked with full speed of ssd and now it's about 90Mb/sec with 100% cpu load...

No idea on the DRM. Definitely has a DVD version. Gamestop has them.

Wow... it's 59gb's packed?.. I remoted into my pc launching the game.. lol Right now it's only on a WD black.. I hope to have it on SSD soon.. I may stop by bestbuy and pick one up on the way back to the hotel. I built a little mini itx to keep in my room with a 27" monitor. It has a i7 4770, 8gb ram, GTX970 MSi GAME with a 500 gb WD black and a 60gb SSD I was hoping to put GTA V on, but there is no way.. lol

Not what I asked, and that's an opinion that's hard to trust since no one has really been able to play it with KB yet, and as I said, the vids I see of GTA V DO show much more twitchy center pivot steering than GTA IV had. Some bitched about cars being too floaty and slippery in GTA IV, but that and the steering it had was also what allowed for some awesome counter steer powerslides once mastered, which as I said, wasn't hard to do, even on KB.

If it's moddable like GTA IV though, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone offers a steering mod. No matter what one's opinion on easier, harder, better, worse, center pivot steering comes from old arcade racing games, and is a cheaper, less realistic way of making cars steer.

That said, I think what would be ideal is a combination of the best traits of car physics from both games. Another thing GTA V is weak on is the damage model for cars, almost non existent compared to GTA IV. I have to wonder if that's partly to be less demanding on the old gen consoles. They could easily put in much more sophisticated physics on the PC version without optimization issues.

Installed and played on two different systems no problem. I have Rockstar-direct version, not steam, so I don't imagine it'd be any different...they use the social club for sign-in.
