HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

As expected, as i turned sli on, it crashed on me...
I'm using a GeForce GTX 460
And GeForce GTS 450, any cause of crash then?

Well, i know my friend runs sli, in black ops 3 and there's no issue for him, he's having 2x GTX 280 graphics cards, in sli, he feels the improvement, basicly instantly

Did you adjust the sli profile for cod3 using nvidia inspector? sli mode won't work properly until you do.

Out of curiosity, how much video memory does each board have? That could also be a problem
you need 2 - gigs minimum to get good performance.

I tried as simple as CS:GO, but as i was just about to enter a test Map, it crashed on me, even when my computer starts up, it makes this Black and White fast screen, like in the television?

There's no issue when it runs with only the single primary card, but as soon as sli gets on, it crashes on me

What is nvidia inspector?

Not really, you would only adjust a sli profile if it is generic (no sli parameters set, no sli bits set) the game will basically run on 1 board under those conditions.

Does the game crash when your running on just 1 board? (sli mode disabled).

No, then it runs fine, but i wanna get better performance, so i wanna go sli, but it crashes on me, as i try to go sli

I've downloaded the inspector thing, where would i locate it, so that i can use it?

Just unpack the zip with winrar (that's what I use anyway) to folder of your choice (ex: nvinsp) and create a shortcut on the desktop.

But be careful with it, you can also cause problems with nvidia inspector if you change
the wrong things the wrong way.

On the main windows that opens up half-way down and to the right (beside where it says "driver version") click on the little button that has a crossed screwdriver & wrench. you'll get a new window where
you can access all of your profiles.

Hang on a couple of minutes, I'm checking some stuff.

Sure, would be awesome, if there's a quicker way, to communicate, because seriously, i'm soon so deep in the water, that i can't even breath anymore o.o

Geforce experience changed the cod3 profile without my knowledge, odds are you have the same profile, but here's what I've got:

Under SLI compatibilty bits (DX1x) field I have 0x000000F5

Under NVIDIA predifined number of GPU's to use on SLI rendering mode on Directx10 I have "SLI_PREDIFINED_GPU_COUNT_DX10_FOUR"

Under NVIDIA predifined SLI mode on Directx10 I have "SLI_PREDIFINED_MODE_DX10_FORCE-AFR"

My sterlings are set exactly like yours, I tried to launch Call of Duty: Black Ops III, still crashes, as soon as it gets to the logo thing, at the intro

Try changing the DX1x field to: 0x084000F5 (Tomb Raider (2013), Apollo 11 Demo)

You also might need to do the config.ini trick.

I kept getting a black screen and a locked up game until I did that.

I'm a little confused here, how did mozilla firefox get involved? I thought we were working on cod3. and what does "Settings *" mean?

Didn't work, still crashes, it even Got my whole screen showing green and made a very loud noise

Mozilla Got involved, as i started to configure with inspector, because now that browser is fucked up

Sry mate, but where are you from?

Did you try the config.ini trick? I'm from north carolina usa
