Something I noticed on a lot of the nvidia green pcb cards is that the chip is soldered into a square mini-pcb which makes them modular. I wonder if someone did a switcharoo. It seems like a whole lot of effort for such a throwaway card. But yeah look at the pictures this has the modular socket.
I was thinking like a die shim like AMD uses on the Radeons, and were created in the athlon xp days
