That's only because you have jet engines masquerading as case fans to blow that shite out before it settles lmao.

Was only 30 days as it was open box from ocuk.
They must have the same standard warranty, btw avoid open box, especially for really expensive products. People don't usually return things like video cards for no reason, it's because there was something wrong with them.

Aha!

Not this time.. this time they share the same signature :)

Shiny...

Proper pics when it has a decent gpu in it.

If there is cannabis all over the GPU, then it costs more !

And once returned, it they push it during tests, it will smell good too, no complaints from them i hope.

Afro Man just popped into my head lmao...

"I was going to play some games but then I got high.... Now my gpu is dead, and I know why, cuz I got high cuz I got high cuz I got hiiiiiggggghhhh!!!! Ladidadada"

One of the best stories about Canada. It was about 8:30 AM in the morning and all I had was roaches so I rolled one up. Those smell terrible and I had to go out to the park to smoke that. While I was near the end and nice and cherry 2 police officers came walking towards me on the path. Since Mary Jane is completely legal where I live all they could say to me was Good Morning as I pulled on the 2nd last hit. Then I went home and played the shit out of Helldivers 2.
Breakfast of champions?!?! Or did you have a coffee and farmers wrap with that? lol

Yes DDU and then insert the 1660 super
I wouldn't DDU unless I get errors. Removing all Nvidia/AMD software through the Control Panel with the internet connection disabled should do the trick. I've had instances when DDU removed much needed system files which were more annoying to get back than being left with driver leftovers would have been.

It was Premier league time so it would have been half time. Not coffee but a nice juice with buttery eggs and meat protein in bacon and Sausages. I might even have had some baked beans on that day.

In DDU options check/uncheck what to uninstall, driver, physx... but some revert after relaunch the app... it also has the turn off tip saying it's for GPU switch, reboot for driver update.

6900xt is dead. 1660s is my old card.
Yikes! Reminds me of December, 2021, when I "bricked" my Navi10! (RX 5600 XT) I popped in my Zotac GTX 1660 Super.

Changing the drivers was so easy with DDU! IIRC, I used DDU to clear the Radeon software. Select the option in DDU to block Windows Update from installing drivers!

IIRC, this would hurt more than when my RX 5600 XT was "bricked"!

I got my GTX 1660 Super, before the "video card mageddon"!

I got my RX 5600 XT in November, 2020, it was very shortly before the "video card mageddon"! It already looked very bad in December, 2020!

But, I did have another Navi1, the RX 5500 XT 8 GB. (Both Navi1s are MSI) I got the RX 5500 XT 8 GB, months before I got the RX 5600 XT, which only has 6 GB of VRAM, but it beats the RX 5500 XT 8 GB.

One of the cons of the RX 5500 XT, is that it's x8. It's clearly made for PCI-E 4.0, but I had a PCI-E 3.0 motherboard. Even when the popular-at-the-time Ryzen 7 3700X, of course has PCI-E 4.0.
Matisse was the first to have PCI-E 4.0. It was because I had a B450 motherboard, IIRC.

This thread's hilarious! Thank you guys for the good laugh!

And of course best of luck to the OP, hope things get better for you the way you want them to! Cheers!

How do you think I see my flow pattern, it isn't from incense :pimp:

Technically speaking you could send it back. OcUK will warranty it for 2-3 years depending on the card itself..

This one has 3 years.

I dont think they'll refund you unless youre still within the 14 day purchase refund window but regardless. They will RMA the card for you but the issue is, you could be without that card for anywhere between 1-6 months depending how fast OCuK likes to move and also the GPu vendor.
Better to RMA than to have to spend dough on a new card at this rate

Yes, especially one like the 6900 XT in question.

Personally, I always have a spare GPU at hand, preferably from the brand that I'm currently using (I'm actually using both AMD and Nvidia across several systems, so I have spares of both). I've also thought about getting an 8700G to have something capable of gaming to fall back on in case my main GPU fails, but the PCI-e x8 interface put me off.

Edit: So for that, I'd much rather buy an £500 main GPU and a £200 spare than a single £700 main GPU.

I had a XFX R7 250X Ghost I got in 2016, it sat in its og box as a UEFI test card and I put it in the Ex GFs rig in late 2021-She is not a gamer. I will be eventually grabbing another test card, then get a "Modern" Radeon.

A low profile RX 6400 is perfect for this purpose, imo. Or even a 6600 if budget allows.

Overclockers won't do anything at all for me.

Just put a ticket in to Sapphire. Here's hoping!

I have to post something because I have seen cases ( no pun intended). Smoking kills... your PC components too. Smug sticks to components, and just in the recent year ive seen a 3090, a 3070 and a couple of other components die from essentially choking on that nasty brown sludge from their owners smoking habits.

You can tell a smoker's computer from a mile away, and smell it too. This stuff is really nasty

I've 3 cats too so smoking and moggy hair... Wish the cats would quit but meh...:D

DDU'ing worked great when I defected from 6700 XT to RTX 3080. :toast:
