I can't believe all this stupid arguing when it's so obvious to anyone that Bill Gates is using Jewish space lasers to infect AMD processors with the covid vaccine in order to stop the liberal media from exposing the truth about illegal aliens from outer space entering the united states and eating our pets while continuing to spread false rumors of the earth being round.

The scheduler in win11 was much more suitable for Intel's arch than for AMD's, yes or no? The videos prove that soundly and that's the answer to the thread's question.
The scheduler code will detect the CPU and be optimised for the chip that is detected. Me referring to it as a scheduler might not even be correct, but there will be code optimised for AMD and also code optimised for Intel.

E-cores are in their own performance class so anything specific to those wont even touch a non hybrid chip, a lot of the stuff for it is in the power schema settings, hidden by default but can be accessed in the registry or with certain tools.

If there is microcode shipped with the OS to address issues on specific chips it wont be loaded for other chips.

Jewish space lasers loool

It's all making sense now. Its now as clear as day - Prophet "dirty"ferret has been "cleansed", and may his divine purification, the vessel of salvation, save us all.

Doesn't AMD work good on Windows 10? The problem was Windows 11 the last time I checked. And what about Thread Director? Isn't that software to control the CPU?

The way MS does things when it comes to just security patches and they break things that have never been broken before and it takes them weeks/months to fix.....anyone remember when they broke the print spooler a few years ago with a security update? And then even with a handful of "fixes" they put in place over the next few months to correct the security issues and the broken print spooler they still didn't get things straightened out for quite some time.

I wouldn't put it past them for breaking something with some update and it's proving to be too hard for them to fix quickly or easily.
The print spooler is still broken on my W10 with all the latest updates.

No, it does not.
There are different features - mainly Virtualization-Based Security - that being enabled by default make up for most of the difference. And this is not an AMD thing.
How does it not work properly?

AMD Software department is dog $hit. Always was, no doubt about it. Only bigger dog $hit in AMD is their Marketing department.
Yes, Microsoft prefers Intel and game devs prefers nVidia, but that isn't due to conspiracy theories. It is just result of a CPU and GPU market share where AMD both sucks (less in CPU obviously).

Exactly why anyone has reasons to doubt MS. What excuse has MS for this flop of 10 being so much worse than 11 only for AMD cpus (with rare exceptions)?
Market share, AKA money. Not saying it's a good reason, but it is a reason.

Too many examples of software being deliberately written to perform worse on non Intel CPU to not at least consider malice every time something like this crops up.

But from Microsoft themselves? Not really. Everyone remembers Intels compiler fun and games, but that wasn't Microsoft.

I spent last weekend doing a 10 hour 1 way trip to the DC to replace my cluster nodes with new ones. They run 7950x’s w/128gb of ram each and those servers scream.

Oh context. It’s a windows cluster sorry.

There are people in this thread that would like AMD to fail, so they can pay sky high prices for a monoploy.

Ideally you want to use Process Lasso and manually set affinities for every single game, then you can get rid of Xbox junk.
"Manually" is not required.

Lasso can be configured for paths, not just single executables. So point it at your steam library and the problem is 99% solved. For myself, out of long habit, I already install all my games to a separate folder than normal applications (and I move my steam library there as well), so the problem is 100% solved for me.

Same, and it's interesting to see what people are willing to believe with no evidence when the company isn't their favourite one, where only conclusive proof or direct admission of wrongdoing would be accepted to even entertain the notion.

Heck, you're right! Even supports RegEx. That's pretty powerful, awesome tip. Gonna have to keep that one in my back pocket for people on heterogenous Ryzens and hybrid Core CPUs.

Both MS and Intel have a reputation for anti-competitive practices to damage their competition, I doubt it's just MS being incompetent.
And the fact that the Windows patch improves performance on Zen 3 is evidence enough IMO of something being purposely done to make W11 on AMD worse.

I'm always happy to sling mud on MS for numerous reasons but I don't see what they have to gain by holding AMD down intentionally and I don't see how AMD is their competition. They are actually business partners because of their Xbox division.

They also collaborate on Azure...... Also Windows 10 performance was fine so are we now gonna say Microsoft wants all AMD users to stick with windows 10 smh. Also to a lesser extent Raptorlake and likely Alderlake performance was also degraded although it was margin of error in most games but measurable.

For AMD to not notice their cpu's were performing 5-8% lower than they should is just incompetence on their part. Also their current setup with the chipset driver, gamebar, and the 3dvcache driver all needing to work together for performance not to suck on some of their cpu's is a joke and shouldn't be a thing. I'm forced to use a 3rd party application just to get my cpu to perform how it should.

I might remind you that many games with anti cheat won't allow adjusting affinities at all, so it's still a solution that doesn't work all the time. Just like AMD's software solution.

It's pretty rare I've actually not encountered a game that does and honestly either disabling the 2nd ccd which takes a couple minutes or just sticking with single ccd options would still negate that issue. Anyone buying a dual CCD chip should understand it's not plug and play but honestly no high core count cpu's are perfect these days.
