Is the ThermalRight Frozen Prism 360 AIO good?

Fair enough. Been looking for something to replace a 120mm based AIO. Been wanting to do some OCing with my X299 build and my current 120 AIO is just not enough. Been also looking at a 280 based unit. Maybe I'll create a thread for it.
As far as I have seen, the TR AIOs are equipped with modestly successful fans; just enough to do the job, really, but could be better, so I'd suggest upgrading to a power fan like the T30. Dunno if TR has anything even close - they've got so many products that even though I have several of their fans, I'm still far away from having them all.

Most of their AIOs have a slower pump. Like @freeagent said, 3300 RPM. However, some have 5500 RPM, like the Notte and Magic, so I'd personally recommend those stronger ones over the lesser ones. I've been using the Notte 360 for a couple of months and it's really quiet. I don't really hear the pump at 100%, and the fans don't make much noise, either.

5500rpm is too fast, it’s gonna burn itself out :)

You'd better call TR, then, and tell them they're wrong. ;)
I have a friend on another forum with that cooler, been running about a year now I guess? Had to turn pump speed down a bit. I have mine running full speed, if this thing will die, it will hurt the whole time it is doing it.

Wait, what? It's hurt? Huh?

Why'd your friend have to turn it down?

I can’t say for certain, but sounds like a lil pump noise at top speed. It is the reason I avoided it, and literally the reason I bought mine.. just because it said V3 and it was as cheap as a heatsink. I have known they made AIOs (or put their name on one) for years.. but I avoided them like every other AIO.

Somehow, I find that both unsurprising and shocking (because it's TR, after all, and you're their biggest fan...boy). ;)

I make sure to update if my Notte ever starts having problems (assuming I don't put in my U12A or another of the dozen or so air coolers I've got now).

The pump is connected to the CPU header for me so I usually see about 2000-2700 RPM range in HWinfo. I can't hear it over the case fans.

You can call me a fan boy too. As long as I keep building PCs, Thermalright will be the cooler I choose. Whether Air or Water the price/performance is spectacular.

I am using the 240mm Aqua Elite to cool a 5950X with no issue. It idles at 32 C. The pump speed on these units is 3300 RPM.
I'm looking to cool an X299 based CPU, 9920X, which has 165W TDP and am wanting to do some OCing. I currently have a 7820X in the system and want to toy with it before installing the 9920X.

I actually went with a 280 rad based AIO. An IDCooling ZoomFlow 280XT. It has a seemingly solid performance level and IDCooling has a good reputation.

and I believe in results.
Exactly right!

The pump is connected to the CPU header for me so I usually see about 2000-2700 RPM range in HWinfo. I can't hear it over the case fans.
I have a specific pump header for my board, so fine grained controls are readily usable.

Yes most premium boards have a CPU Pump header. I think MSI is the only one that has it on it's budget boards. With Asus if you don't connect the CPU header the board defaults to the BIOS and reminds you.

Helloooo, I know it's quite an old thread but no info around for these 360 Aio....

And I have some bold questions for you!!

I've read all this thread.... summing up ...
I've found to review of the Prism360 and the warframe360. The links are below [italian speaker]

>For this new 7900x build, I bought a Prism360 white.
Every piece of it will be here on Monday.

a) I cannot find any TDP info.
The only one is in an Amazon review: somebody mentioned 280W.
I suppose you would have written a note if something was wrong.

b) I have a vertical case arriving. It's a Bitfenix Rev360.
The 360 slot is vertical and it should be front-up only.
Some physical issues to solve, I have done only Top radiator so far.
Any good idea to limit the eventual pump air noises?

c) On my builds I use a free software "Fan Control".
It will recognize automatically the sensors.
Make a link to the fan, and edit a curve, that's all. It allows fine regulations
No pump of mine has even run at 100%.

d) I will run the pump at 80% or less.
Unless the 7900X hits some high temp over 75-80°.
Three seconds of hysteresis to go up, and 8 seconds to go down
Does that sound Ok ?

The pump is quiet; i wouldn't worry about it. You may eventually start hearing some harmonic resonance from the fans. I prefer the Frozen Notte and Frozen Magic Scenic V2 - stronger pump and still quiet. Doesn't even benefit much from stronger fans.

Does that help?

Lol they don't need me anymore, after all the time I spent saying their name on the internet people finally found something they liked :)

Edit..

This is my current cooler, running nicely.

Everything arrived, but the PSU.
No way to test the AIO.

Help me solving the Air-In-Pump syndrome dilemma:
Front-Up ?? / Front-Down??

( surprisingly the Rv300 allows me to mount it both ways)

I'll mount different fans. It's Fanless in the pic

Is that the CPU idle cycle ??
26°

( I have currently 26° in my room and 41° on the 5600X )

The first value in the graph = 500+X

That's my space & current PC <5600X + 2070S - 240 Aerocool AIO> +20° over ambient temp. idle is normal +42-44° on heavy workloads as well.
