What kit did you go with?

well done, what gos around comes around :) .

I sure hope you've actually got a use case for all that RAM!

As long it's money we'll spend, it's not crazy or dum.

And hornestly if your buy is crazy, then I must be insane for the memory kit I planned to bay for my else planned ryzen 9 3950X setup, that I had to drop cause of this dam coronavirus.

These are the the once I wanted.

nice, yep, I got the same CPU as your getting it kicks arsh plus I got Asus crosshair viii hero non wifi my X is going to love my old stuff

at this point you should wait for 4000

that is what my next upgrade is going to be a RTX 3000 series card I got a lot of saving to do

mate, for a 3950x that should be a given. i tried 16 gig with my 3900x and the whole system was "underperforming" for my use case so i had to go to 32, so 64 gig should be fine for your system.

I do know from experience that the 100+ GB zone is a different story altogether, in terms of potential

well I just called my x and told her and man did I get a rant from her she said I'm spending too much money on my computer, but that's what I do it's my hobby it's what I like to do:nutkick:
it must be her time of the month lol

i am sure it is ok to spend it on her though

It's perfectly fine as long it's your money. You can even buy ten of them and make a necklace for her, it's still fine.

my x and I talked on the phone for 2 hours now she is excited about her system being upgraded right now she has an Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 motherboard and AMD fx 8350 CPU and 16gb 1600mhz ram she will be getting Asus crosshair vi hero and AMD Ryzen 7 1800x and G-skill 32gb 3200mhz ram its a big upgrade for her

hopefully, I get my memory tomorrow I can't wait it's going to be so cool I hope it all works ok.

Going off the title, I'll call you crazy that you're spending that much on your ex.

no on my self she just gets my old stuff which is a big upgrade for her

got my memory today installed it so far so good

still going strong however tried to run memtest64 on them would not run did windows memory test took almost 2 hours and they passed

My ex wants to wait on her upgrade tel this covid-19 to pass I don't blame her it's bad here

Hi all, today I'm going to be picked up by my ex and going to her place to upgrade her computer she will be so happy I'll let you all know how it goes

Have fun with the "upgrade", I'm sure you are "passionate" about "computers"...

More RAM, more Cores is always a good idea if the apps you have can use it. If the apps won't call on it, then having 4 x 8GB sticks sticks to manage instead of 2 can sometimes knock down OCs a bit when the memory controller has to handle double the load. So I'd go 2 channel 2 x 16 w/ the 1800. I just asked my son why he went 4 x *GB ... answer was .. "yeah I realize it coould have potentially impact my future OCs ... but I only have a moderate OC on it and the RGB LEDs wouldn't look as nice w/ 2 empty slots".
