First thing I noticed as well, the AMD cards are underperforming big time. Big shoutout to W1zzard as well for providing an easily digestible image that shows the trend.
7700XT especially performs incredibly poor, only the 7600 looks somewhat in line with Nvidia cards.

I do hope AMD addresses this sometime because if this trend continues we should seriously re-evaluate the performance of AMD cards and their value.

@W1zzard will you add the B580 as well?
It is not only in this game but usually all amd 6000+ gen cards in new games get ass kicked by geforces counterparts....usually with much lower power consumption!

No game-ready driver from AMD yet. If somehow they can extract+10% with it, that could close the gaps.

And the 7700 XT has trailed the other RDNA3 cards like this ever since the original review. Not sure the cause but I suspect it's simply bad at some of the effects enabled in Ultra settings in current games as it seems to compete quite well with my 6800 XT at 1440p using DF/HUB/BK Optimized settings.

Outdoor environments are well-designed, with great-looking foliage and vegetation
I beg to disagree, vegetation seems to be off across the board. Which is unfortunate, since you'll be seeing lots of that, everywhere.

What is with AMD cards getting lower performance than normal lately?? Are AMD just always late with drivers or just game devs optimization for more popular Nvidia cards?

Ever since the last round of layoffs the driver rollout has be slower than usual, I'm guessing they fired many engineers and programmers working from the drivers team

CryEngine is an absolute nightmare to work with, extremely complicated and hard to get the results you want. UE is the exact opposite and there's lots of people available who know how to use it, and there's lots of documentation, and the source code is easily accessible

I wanted to build some simple GPU load, tried Unity, CryEngine, Unreal. Unreal won big time

hmm this looks like a testing issue, will retest
Is this really a problem for multi-billion dollar studios? Avoiding prevalent UE5 stutter and gaining better overall performance is worth it from my perspective, but of course, the heads of these companies only see raw numbers. o_O

Yes, it is. Cumbersome, poorly documented APIs will kill developer productivity, no matter the size of the company.
