Legendary PlayStation Exclusive The Last of Us Part 1 Releasing on PC

People still comparing console and PC details. This reminds me of "you can play 4k60hz on consoles".
Yeah, same thing.

its different this time cause of the implication of the green screen acting. you apparently haven't read much on the remake.

Dunno, I've played the original ME serie vanilla then Nexus modded the second time and the Legendary Edition for a third time and I still think its the best way to experience the serie.
There are lot of small changes that do count in overall, making the game better to play imo. 'Theres a pretty big list of changes actually'

From what I know/read it was fairly successful and for the most part positively accepted.
There's a big list, but you don't see most of it unless you actively look for it. Turbo mode on the Mako, the UI changes and higher res textures in ME1 are most certainly welcome, but I literally didn't see anything in ME2 and 3.

Personally I'm glad that Last of us 1 is coming to the PC, I was always interested in it but I never owned any console and I don't plan to just for a few games.
Same here. :)

Making a PC version alongside any PS5 version should be trivial.

PS5 supports keyboard and mouse, PC supports controller, both run very similar CPU and GPU architectures on compatible APIs.

Give me em all, loved both games, don't care what others say. Gimme, gimme, gimme :rockout::D

The 1440p and 2160p look kind of blurry to me.
Please, can anyone check/confirm if that is actually rendered at 4k? It is using a very agressive upsampling rendering by AMD ("performance" "low quality" (?) on FidelityFX SR)?
I'm using 1440p monitor and both 1080p and 1440p seem to have the same amount of detail on most scenes, 2160p doesn't look "crisp" at all.

I've seen other Last of Us "preview" videos with deceiving stuff, like "1080@60fps" where, once checked on MPC you see its frame doubling 30fps.

The only thing legendary about this game is how boring it is.

But I get that people who buy consoles don't have much in the way of choice or taste, so that explains it.

I said , I wont pre-order a game , but my man I would love to experience this game.
You can still have the game on launch day without pre-ordering.
There is no excuse to pre-order.

I didn't finish this game cause the MP was so good.
I switched from ps3 to PC once sony said no more free online.
No MP no buy.

Well, well, HL2 is boring....what do you think about that huh?o_O How very dare you, having an opinion.

Scurries off to get some popcorn, internet flak jacket and maybe I'll play some HL Alyx. :D

$70 for an enhanced game minus the multiplayer... ok

Few years. I'm seeing it in 2024.
This game is probably the most popular on RPCS3, the demand is there. Although I agree the price is too greedy, I think it should be $30-50.

Low quality post by robb
Sony re-selling the game again, typical bull**** only Sony does to have their loyal fans buying the game again and again

Personally, I think HL2 was revolutionary when it was released. It isn't anymore, that's why one could say it's boring. Your perception is different when "shooter" means UT2004 and Quake 3.

I love HL2, it was just a tease.

HL2 was groundbreaking in almost every facet. Last of Us was not in any way shape or form. But console players had never had that kind of game before so they went wild over it.
What an asinine low IQ reply.
QQ more.

I know. :) What I meant to say it that everything can be super boring, or super exciting based on your perception. I, for one, find online shooters ultimately boring for a complete lack of imagination in them, yet they're the bread and butter of gaming for millions (I'll never understand why).

Very true and I had an inkling you knew, sometimes very hard to tell on the interwebz.

@Assimilator AusWolf sums it up nicely and I love HL2 for what it brought to gaming. I still think it's a great game. Where we differ and where we will always differ, is our views on The Last Of Us but as I'm guessing we are both non-Millenials I'm sure we can handle that without needing therapy or a hug.:toast:

So the Question is, will they take time to optimize it for X86 instructions and allow Full Definition for GPUs that have the muscle to do it? (Think Need for Speed Underground on a XBox which was fx 5200 gpu performance, vs a PC with Radeon 9700 Pro Gpu performance, Details could be maxed on that card)

It will be interesting to see what the recommended specs will be for GPU/CPU, considering the engine is 9 years old they should be trivial even if the game is remastered.

So when is the PC version going to be launched?

So when is the PC version going to be launched?

End of the month, march 28th

You're probably coming from there, but anyway, it will be free with new AMD gpu purchases
