It was a new motherboard? Was there grease in the old one too?

Need to try in a more modern system. Did this message display on the monitor while it was hooked up to your gpu video out? Even if that is all it displayed, that tells you that the video out is working. My dad's PC gave me a message saying that the vga UEFI is not compatible with the PC or something like that, idk probably my dad's PC is not compatible with my gpu
The message appeared without my GPU being hooked up to my dad's PC, my dad's PC only uses igpu so I connected the HDMI to the mobo and the megatrends vga card is not supported by UEFI Driver appeared, so I still don't know if my GPU is faulty or not.Need to try in a more modern system. I'll try that, thanksThat's a a good sign, your card is at least alive enough to work in text mode. No need to tear the whole thing apart and breadboard it. From the pictures you have provided, it looks like the slot on your motherboard is very dirty. Those debris will cause issues. I recommend against using a Q-tip to clean it, it's only going to make it worse. Buy a can of contact cleaner spray from Amazon or other electronics shops to cleanse it, and your graphics card is probably going to work. While at it, buy a can of DeoxIt to clean the GPU's contacts. Use both very sparingly and then wipe with an ESD safe cloth. If you don't have one handy, Amazon should have it, too.

Which LED does the board get stuck on when you turn it on? The diagnostic LEDs should help point in the right direction. Also, you can use the FP header and install the little diagnostic speaker which will give error beeps where you can help figure out which piece of hardware isn't working during post. Not sure where the speaker goes, DL the manual.I'll try that, thanks

That guys a crybabyI think northwestrepair said that. I have heard that quote before but not entirely sure who said it originally.
Depends on if its cheaper to repair the 6800, which is not a slouch.Time to get a 9070
It was user damageI cant remember what that YouTube GPU repair guy said..
AMD makes good boards, shit cores, Nvidia makes shit boards and good cores?
Something like that.
Lots of stories just like this one on the internet.
I managed to get the GPU working but it only gives me image using the silent bios mode of the GPU, if I use the oc mode it will not give image and stay on the red light og not vga or not display sourceWhich LED does the board get stuck on when you turn it on? So there is no way to fix?
Card seems to be getting enough power but still no image, I checked the psu cables but everything looks fine.
