AIO, AMD CPU back plate with isolation pad , can you take a pic, my AMD back plate was backward, did cause issues on my new build.

There has to be something betweem motherboard and the bottom of the case. Can you took a photo from the bottom of the motherboard?
The motherboards sitting on these risers there about 10mm clear of the case.

The risers are metal to. So there has to be something between them still.

Are there leds on the motherboard and yes, what do they do when you turn on the system?

Take out battery, wait couple of minutes, put battery back in.

Thats a problem. Can she test and put something plastic or something between. If it starts then you know what do u need.

She said the last build was fine and she placed it the same way with screws from top.

There's a few vids on YouTube who do the same

Ok. But still if you get a short circuit from there then the same thing happens.

No leds that I can see took the battery out will leave it 10 mins

I suppose I could take it all out and try it in my case with my psu time consuming but I don't know what else to try

Was the other Ram stick already installed before? Otherwise try the other Ram (I guess you probably have to do that some time later as you do not have it now)

Just thinking, that additional fan you attached between, I think that worked?

I guess you also double checked and pushed well the Ram, power connections, et cetera.

Just trying my gpu in her machine now...

My gpu does the same although the fans don't slow down there's still nothing on the monitor.

My sisters gpu in my PC however looks like this

The jumpers clear at the moment I don't have anything to use?

It's def not the gpu as that's working fine in my PC

If you can borrow a cheap AM4 APU try that with the GPU removed to make sure it is the Motherboard failing and not the GPU causing the issue.
A PC shop might test that for you if you bring it in and ask.

Edit: Scrap that thought, that Motherboard doesn't even have onboard video.

Nope it won't boot without a gpu.

The gpu works fine in my PC so surely it's not that causing the issue?

It booted up but the graphics were shocking, pre gpu if that makes sense and I couldn't find the gpu in device management plus the fans stopped going on the gpu
Doesn't sound like it is working fine.
If it runs in basic VGA mode it can still be stuffed.
Try loading drivers and if it crashes, then that will be confirmed, although older cards often work with older legacy drivers found on the Nvidia site.

It's because I hadn't updated the drivers once I did that device manager found the card and I was able to change the resolution and it played fortnite fine.

I'm going to take it out the case today and install it on cardboard
