Hello so i want to buy a new graphics card for gaming and streaming. Generally i play games like Valorant, Wow, and rpg games. My budget is on 300-350€.
I have this one in mind Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6 Gaming OC (rev. 2.0) but people tell me its for professional uses only so idk, it really looks good to me and i find it for 310€

also someone recommended these two:
1)Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 Windforce OC
2)Sapphire Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB GDDR6 Pulse

Also do you think 8gb is enough for streaming?

I would really like to see some more recommendations!!

PC specs:
MOBO: Gigabyte B550M DS3H
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
PSU: Be Quiet System Power 9 600W
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 3600MHz
Box: Kolink Stronghold White
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 1TB

As you have a 5600G the card that makes sense is the 6700XT so that you can take full advantage of AMD software. The package allows you to stream directly from in there and Gaming is great for that card.

Nope as long as you have 2 PCie headers you are good. Most 6700XTs are 8+6 pins so you will be good.

if you are referring to the "professional uses" 2 people said this idk exactly why.
They have no idea what they're talking about. It's an old card that has been supplanted by better options at a similar price, so nobody should be buying it for that reason, but it's in no way a "professional" card. Quadro is Nvidia's pro GPU line.

i personally wont recommend GB anymore, especially the gpus are usually on the lower grade vs other brands
when it comes to heatsink/cooler.

any Nv card below xx70 wont really benefit from more than 8GB.

the quality of the psu is more important than output (listed).
most name brand (quality) units with 650w have no trouble doing 700w under full load without crashing,
when some crappy 750w units wont be able to provide +600w, ignoring that most cant handle the gpu transients of (most) newer cards.

havent messed with bequiet psus lately, so cant comment on this unit.

i find this one its 12GB

I'm adding a concern some people noted that radeon graphics cards doesnt work that good with Twitch but nvidia cards work better, any ideas on that?

NVENC is historically better than AMD's encoder, but some say the newer AMF encoder (supported on RDNA2 or newer) bridges that gap quite well using OBS. Notice that a 6700XT can't do AV1 by itself, so there's that.

i'm not really familiar with all these, all i can understand is that if i get the radeon one i have to use AMF encoder. Is it a huge problem the lack of AV1 or with the AMF i'm okay? If i'm gonna have problems in encoding or anything similar, to me it sounds better to even get the 3060 that is 12GB otherwise out of all the graphics cards the 6700 is the best one so far. I'm very confuced with all the info because i'm really an amateur on this part.

TPU recommends 550W, I trust this more than Nvidia or AMD, they write spaceship requirements, but TPU do tests.

Nvidia NVENC all the way. but, if you don't need it for video work, then forget it and take the most powerful gpu you can afford for gaming, lol.

then I will obviously recommend Nvidia just on the safe side. Well, 6700XT is 25% better only, and LOL, surprisingly, even has same as 3060.12 gb 192 bit memory bus. But, for this, just for note, 3060 is 170w, 6700xt 230w lol. I don't care for desktop, but it's a fact

@nipav might wanna fill out system specs and location for your profile.
lot easier to find stuff if we know your market.

cant comment on streaming, but encoding wise Nv, and since i prefer to use shadowplay (rec gameplay) over others...
past problems with amd were usually driver/sw related, but thats normally not an issue any longer,
so if a card is ~20% faster, i wouldnt care if its team red (as long as it does everything else i/user want to do).

the problem with the 3060 is that it will never have the actual perf to make use of 12gb of ram.
maybe wait until the 40xx series S-refresh comes out, might lower prices for prev gen,
as a 3060ti or maybe 3070 would be much better.

a 4060 would be a decent card for 60fps, maybe a RX7600/7700 or 3060ti/4060ti if its on sale.

Streaming is fine on RDNA. You can do it right from the software and it is seamless. You won't notice any issues.

idk i would consider waiting so the prices go down a bit until the new series come out as 3060ti or 3070 are really really good options.
i would get the 4060 but my problem is the 8gb vram.

this applies to all radeon gpu's?? Or to newer ones

worrying about 8gb on a xx60 card, is like wanting a 300 km/h Tacho, for a car that has 60HP.
by the time more than 8gb are needed, it will run out of "power" to actually make use of it.

Not how it works at all, I think this has been established by now. It all depends on your games and your preferences, but 8GB is simply a limiting factor on any gpu you want to game on proper in 2023>>

And x60 level Ada perf definitely could do with 12GB. x70 shouldve had 16. Provided the bandwidth isnt utter shit, too.

8GB these days is more like the car analogy for having basic functionality and nothing else. You'll fret about not having airconditioning, no central doorlock tech, manual shift, loud engine noise and your acceleration is Peugeot 107 class nonsense. Its the car you can do groceries with at best.

Save for a 4070, by the time you have enough, super will be out in Jan, and you can get a 16 GB NV card for ~$600.

VRAM issues are overblown, 4070 review showed that.

It's more akin to the number of seats than top speed, with certain games requiring more seats as you increase the settings. After all VRAM is a capacity, not a performance metric.

Due to the fact that VRAM is a capacity, it means that even a weak video card stands to benefit in any application that utilizes that additional VRAM. Of course a weaker card is going to have lower overall performance but that lowered performance is vastly preferable to the same card with less VRAM that will be a stuttery mess. Just as an example, you could have a low end card getting 21 FPS and single digit 1% lows or you can have the same card with more VRAM getting 48 FPS with 30 FPS 1% lows. The difference between the two is going to be night and day.

If the 4060 Ti 16GB benefits from additional VRAM (and that's considering the 4060 Ti's memory bus is a tiny 128 bit), it'safe to say low end cards benefit from additional VRAM.

VRAM issues are overblown, 4070 review showed that.

The 4070 has 12GB of VRAM so I don't see how that can prove 8GB is enough.

6700 XT is the best value for sure but you need to specify how important your streaming is. AMD have indeed improved video quality but Nvidia is still better in that regard and I would lean towards the latter if you need every bit of quality.

I'm adding a concern some people noted that radeon graphics cards doesnt work that good with Twitch but nvidia cards work better, any ideas on that?

Those concerns were pre-AMF, it's not an issue anymore. It was down to the fact that AMD cards used to be noticable worse at lower bitrates than Nvidia. AMF closed a lot of that gap.

A 12GB card proves 8GB issues are overblown. Righto :)
As for Super, that's certainly an option, but OP is in the budget range of 300-350.
You can also get 7800XT today for 500.
Ada simply lacks good options below that amount. The 4060 8GB... myeah, if streaming is all you do with it, but its still a shit card. x60ti 16GB is an utter waste of time, there's no bandwidth there to suit 16GB. I'm totally into the argument for streaming > NV. But there are limits to that too, Ada below x70 is just no go territory imho, the 288GB/s in bandwidth is simply obsolete today.

Keep putting words in my mouth lads.

4070 is a 1440p card, where 12 GB is more than enough.
4060 is a 1080p card where 8 GB is more than enough.

AMD "value" starts to get questionable when you realise the only place you consistently need 16 GB is in 4K, and most of their cards are 1440p orientated, with small caches and narrow memory bandwidth, so they don't scale past 1440p particularly well.

VRAM argument is cried about every year, but it doesn't change reality. 4K textures today aren't magically bigger than 4K textures five years ago.

You could make the argument the VRAM is good for AI stuff, but again, that's NVIDIA territory.

If you look at what consumers want and buy, pretty much everything from both NVIDIA and AMD is priced exactly where it will sell for profit, and your opinions won't change that either. If you want a premium product you pay for it, and comparing simple spec numbers like VRAM between different architectures hasn't ever been nor ever will be a genuine comparison.
