In all fairness you deserve another free game by now for all the time and effort invested. And it feels like they just tried to pull a second stunt with the so-called split refund - which is complete horse shit ofcourse because if their administration splits up the amounts, they damn well better communicate about that first - not doing that is inefficient and basically costs them money on support.

But I guess I'm just an ass like that and they were really offering the greatest customer service in the world.

Pretending is better than not at all I suppose, lol.

Answer: No. The item was not returnable for a refund, but the card isn't available so they are refunding $279.99. Since the value of the free game is $59.99. they have only refunded $220 so far. They have assured me twice they will refund the other $59.99 for the "free" game.

On another note, they have raised the Newegg price of the card to $319.99. It was available for a short time before my RMA was processed.

Other sellers on Newegg are asking well over $400 for the card and apparently getting that much.

Now that I realize, these days you aren't set even if you did manage to get your hands on a card. If it brakes you will essentially get screwed. Chances of getting a replacement are slim and most retailers will just return the cash now. Which is to their advantage since prices are sky high.

That says it all... crazy. I did manage to get a GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G through Amazon Prime for $289.99, it's clocked slightly higher than the card I returned to Newegg. Supposed to arrive Weds.
