I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I know just about enough to get myself in trouble so if I made some mistake here, please feel free to let me know.
But thanks to a lot of guys around here for helping me out with this stuff.
I actually learned how to build computers on this forum and most of the stuff I know about computers I learned from you guys.
So I wouldn’t be doing any of this without your help.
I sincerely appreciate all of you guys and wish you nothing but the best. So here’s a little Video of this quick OC.
Doesn’t need to be an hour long to get the point across.
Stable in Aida64, Windows memory test and Testmem5, on Anta777Extreme for 1 hour.
Note: You better have cooling on the sticks to do this.

Video has been updated with much better timings and voltage adjustments.
30-38-38-38-66 @ 1.47V.
NOTE:
I had it at -56 but I did some tweaking and ran anta again and it was unstable so I set it to 66. Might be able to do 60ish.
Took of the Ram shrouds and set a 120mm fan against it in my case. Never went above 45c in Anta777Extreme.
Maybe you can do better but I'm ok with it..
For now.. Muahahaha!

First of all, I would see how low you can get that 96 at the end of those timings. Seems quite high for 6600MT/s.

I don't have the same kit, but a similar one. I think mine is even more budget level, no RGB lol.

At any rate, this is what I run daily and have not been able to get more stable and also without REALLY heating up the DDR5. 1.35V is my current setting.

What could I tweak for slightly better performance; if anything? I have done my due diligence with ActuallyHardcoreOC as best I can

I personally haven't been able to get CAS 24 stable, but I haven't tried above 1.6v yet for any extended period of time.

I'm also lucky enough to have access to lots of kits and if I kill one or two, no big deal.

That’s sweet but obviously overclocking 16 GB sticks of Ram is nothing like overclocking 32 GB sticks of ram.
You’re not getting CAS 24 on 32 GB sticks of ram unless you ramp the voltages up so high your computer will start smoking. Lol

And please correct me if I’m wrong but it is harder to overclock with a higher frequency processor correct? I’m running a 14900KS.

First of all, I would see how low you can get that 96 at the end of those timings. Seems quite high for 6600MT/s.

I’m totally going to do that Sneaky. If you have any more suggestions, please let me know. I’m working on that now but I’d like to dial in tertiary timings as well.

I had plans to help walk you through such things. Thing with memory is, change one thing at a time, test, rinse and repeat until you find the failure. Then move to another timing. Much easier to find if fault is because timings are too tight or if it's a voltage issue with stability.

Well, TYVM good sir. . I have been at it for like the last four hours this morning. Things are looking really good. Got it down to 30-38-38-38-66
Adjusted secondary and tertiary timings as well. Ran Aida64 again right now, while simultaneously running memtest (desktop version) Furmark in 8k and playing 4k video with google Chrome open.
I call it the salad test. Lol
Stable for 50 minutes.

I keep seeing people getting one of the main timings down to like 28. Am I crazy? lol

Seems to stay below 70c in testing. Is that acceptable?

Passed multimodal stability tests including Karhu 9 hours. And memtest5.

Put a fan right on the memory sticks. Cooler running sticks tend to stay stable. Like them under 50c load.

I don’t expect it to get that hot under normal load and I’m definitely not blocking my sweet looking RGB. Lol.
I might look into some sort of additional cooling for it that won’t interfere with my aesthetics though.

High speed high noise, you can always use the bios to tune it. As said, you should be in the 50s for longevity of the RAM. I even went as far as to stack boxes, add feet, and a duct, so I get a ton of flow over the memory.

Also consider, once the fan is spinning, the RGB looks decent behind it.

Ahh, very true, I did not think of it with the fan moving.. Hmmm..
Something to consider then. I mentioned cutting a duct into the glass on the side panel and I think my wife about popped her lid lol.. Need to figure out something low profile.

would anyone recommend upgrading the Ram heatsinks or something in specific for cooling that looks nice and is effective? Watercooling is a bit overkill IMO.lol

The free trick is to remove the diffusers and force air at them. Looking nice and effective rarely go hand in hand....lol

I was working on a article for DRAM Temps. Been busy with other stuff. Only thing you can do for passive cooling is thicker heatsinks. I use the bitspower L2N ones. But I think they only support single sided. In any case, it just prolongs what is necessary - active cooling (direct air flow).

Also, it says I need to run it as administrator but when I try to, I get a bunch of errors.

but I let it run testing, and I got no errors.
