I've had no issues with AMD drivers except for the long awaited release for drivers. The only thing I got was lower FPS on Warzone 2.0. Then the next release of updates fixed that. So far have had now problems with AMD drivers.
The only time I had problems with drivers was with the 5700 XT, but that card being a botched Asus Strix, had other problems too.

It's fine for me too, but OC crashes are quite hard.

My card cannot max the slider, IE 2800mhz. So the driver crashes. No artifacts at all. Just blank screen, the system hangs and the driver uninstalls itself.

Wattage increase doesn't matter, it seems 1.2v-core isn't enough. At least that's what it looks like against cards that can increase v-core.

So 2750mhz, with outstanding thermals, and a totally locked card. You get what the program gives you, not a stitch more. Attempting to raise limits on core drives the core to 500mhz.

It lacks... luster.

I had real hard crashes before, where my Navi10 at 2.1+ for core, where Superposition will make it go down with a freeze and buzzing sound within seconds!

And never corrupted Windows files as a result. Just an error message from AMD software that there was an unexpected system failure. It always fracking says that, just because I don't shut down properly and then force-resets all settings, deleting my custom fan settings, the most infuriating of all!

It's not like the old days. The user had the control, not the software.

I'm getting decent numbers for the clock speeds though. I mean with benchmarking. Just don't have a gigabyte which seem to do better frequencies.

The crashes suck. No doubt about that. The other cards I listed, did not seem to have this issue either. Weird.

You might remember me asking what to do with Cyberpunk 2077 framerate drops on 6700 XT.

Got some tests made on my old 1080 Ti and so... FPS dropped there either. And it's not my PC went voodoo or something, it's the game itself went bananas.

6700 XT situation: 1.61 got me ~70 FPS whilst 1.61DLSS3 only gets me ~61 FPS on exact same clocks&settings
1080 Ti situation: 1.61 was ~50 FPS; 1.61DLSS3 is ~44 FPS. Clocks&settings are exact same as well.

Gonna sum it up and write to CDPR so they address this matter. This performance drop has no excuse.

I can't recall where I read that, but for whatever reason it appears that the max clock slider on RDNA2 in the driver always goes exactly 50mhz above what you can actually set.
It's true for me at least (2900 of 2950 max).

As for the drivers just some notes by someone who's been using AMD for about 20 years now and never had serious problems with any of it:

No auto-updates for Windows.
No auto-updates for drivers.
No third party driver utilities like DDU.
Only install releases that are actually relevant to you.
Periodically apply factory reset every few installs.
All drivers downloaded from TPU (including chipset).

Right. It clocks it's self 50mhz less than the user sets. That's not user controlled in my opinion.

It's like SenseMI. The card will boost to the ppt limit on its own.

The slider means pretty much nothing. Seems the card will boost over 2700mhz at defaults too. Or am I mistaken?

I wonder. I don't know if AMD have released anything about how exactly the driver OC operates currently.
It has to depend on something detected from the card itself otherwise all cards from the same series would have the same min/max values.

The only thing that stands out is the bios switch on this card.

If a flash goes bad, I have a secondary bios to recover with.

OK, so where's the bios updates??
Download tab is empty....

If it's the same as what I have now, there's no point. But I haven't looked into it directly yet.

Man, I wish mine clocked that high lol
Yeah I got really lucky with this 6750XT. I have been able to get excellent overclock benchmarks with this card. Huge thanks again to @Kodehawa and @RJARRRPCGP for the overclocking help. Not only that my 5700x also has had great overclocking results as well. Huge thanks again to @Kodehawa and @RJARRRPCGP. So at this point when the time comes to overclock to kinda stay current with the times I have a huge headroom to work with. Not only that I still haven't reached my CPU's overclock potential. I still did all of my overclocks and benchmarks with my ram only set to the DOCP profile only. No overclock of any kind.

Great guys. They've been helping me along too. Props for days. :)
Well props to everyone in the thread really. Think everyone has put some kind of positive help here!

What's interesting is that the More Power Tool seemed to work well with the non XT 6700. Gave a really decent boost. I guess this is only good for certain cards though.

Oh, I don't need these cards. I just like benching them.

When I complete the 6700XT benchmarks, I'll gather up some figures.

It'll be interesting to see how a 6500 xt compares to a 6700 xt in DX9 benches.

Berwyn, that's right. Why did I think Aurora?? Lol. Probably that freaking Wanes world movie again.

Lol. Small world!! I stomped around there in my youth a bit. I'm in the NW suburbs these days.

Here's Time Spy.
It'll do 14k if I push to the very edge frequency of 2779mhz. But I don't want to keep dealing with crashes, so backed it down a couple mhz.

Crazy prices. Think mine was 389$.
Pay less get less.... lol.
They seem crazy to me as well but for a completely different reason lol
I bought mine at the peak of crypto BS in May '21.
Threw 900 euro at the thing, but I had just sold my Vega 64 for 700 euro (after getting it brand new for 500 in 2018), so yeah... :D
