Man. I built my new PC waaay to early. I ordered my 5090 Xtreme Waterforce AIO immediately as the retailer in my country opened the gates, and they told me I am 2nd in line to get it. Awesome.

Since it takes weeks and maybe even months for deliveries to arrive to my country, I planned it so that all components will arrive early march (2 weeks back). I was betting on getting the card after around a month or so.

Reality: Gigabyte made so very few cards compared to other AIBs, especially Xtreme Waterforce AIO models (these seem to be super rare). 2 weeks ago my retailer did receive 2 of these models, but they told me they prioritized people who wanted it as part of a prebuilt. Damn, that's annoying as hell.

Sigh, sorry had to vent a bit :) Back to enjoy some games on my 4090 rig while my 5090 rig sits next to me without a GPU and collecting dust, lol.

In my country it seems it stabilized, meaning there is stock but nobody is buying it because they jacked up prices. My Gaming OC that I paid 1200$ for on launch, now sits at 1500 and there are 13 of them, just that model, in just one shop. Many others to choose from but all are way overpriced so question is now when they will drop the prices as demand is not there for them already.

Tested another new driver that dropped today and the same as the last one, perfomance degradation compared to 572.42. Anybody else tested that before and after?

EDIT

Just checked nvidia forums thread on those drivers and I'm not the only one. Also it seems that since 572 many people have the same VRR flicker issue as I do so I hope they will fix both issues soon.
There goes "AMD drivers are bad, compared to Nvidia ones", no, they are both bad :D or rather both can have problems.
Also regarding above it seems they addressed those issues in hotfix driver, didn't install it though as it will be included in the next WHQL release.

Wanted a smaller case than my NZXT H7 Flow, but didn't want to buy new mobo, psu and cooler so I found perfect case for it - Lian Li Sup 01. Now my 5080 is standing up :D

Like it so far, it's build like a tank and building in it was easier than I thought, many straps to keep the cables from going into fans. Temps are also good, didn't change much since GPU has all the air it wants from the front, maybe 1-2 degrees worse but in my H7 I had 3x140mm in the front, 1x120mm in the back and 3x120 up top on the AIO. Here it's only AIO and 3 fans in the back.

Also if any of you ever think that your AIO maybe doesn't get enough air, it does. Air finds a way :D

But I do think that standard AIO would work better here than the thick radiator on the Arctic.

the block came in and reduced my card's size to 30% of it's original (The 5080 Block is half the size btw it's crazy). It maintained 2962 - 3075mhz core clocks all night as I let wilds run while I slept and only hit 56.1c lol, memory still hit 80c with the slider maxed to 3000+ in MSI Afterburner.

One day, someday I will need to go full custom watercooled build. Love the look of the tubes. That was my main factor that stopped me from doing it, is I don't want to mess with hard tubing but on the other hand just rubber tubes look bad, but I see that you can get pretty sweet looking ones that are not hard.

For now I ordered new Silent Loop 3 from bequiet to replace the Arctic, temps aren't bad but there really is small amount of space in the back of that case and I don't need RGB on the fans anymore, plus the waterblock looks great. We will see how it performs.

Haha it's a rabbit hole within a rabbit hole, I wouldn't say it's worth the $$$ my biggest lesson learned is how far aircooling and case designs have come over the last decade :). If I were to do watercooling again, MORA is the way to go with a SFF build.

Lots of bug fixes this might mark the end of BETA phase with the major issues resolved.

Update: Playing with voltages using any app and overclocks - low clock issue for me has been resolved doesn't bug out anymore.

Card arrived at his place:

1743767930346.png

He already put it to work:
1743767949433.png

Although he needs to upgrade the PSU from current 850W (also running with 5950x so Gen 4 only).

Now this madman is thinking of actually running 5090 together with 4090 for ML/AI use and is eyeing an FSP 1650W PSU with dual 12-pins.

Before anyone asks, it's a business expense and tax deductible so he can afford it.

Noice, he should use the 4090 as a physX accelerator to play Arkham Asylum or something

Is that an Antec case btw? Looks awfully similar to my antec P1 at a glance

Got it on release

Aaaand it's gone. But they did list 5090, 5080 and 5070 (which still is available for grabs).

New NVIDIA App Released 11.0.3.218

This fixed NVIDIA Statistics Overlay for me which I prefer over RTS. And the APP can see my GPU stats again whereas it showed N/A on the previous version

After an excruciating wait, my card has arrived and my machine has been rebuilt - in the bench, just as it ought to be.

And yes, it does have 176 ROPs :nutkick:

Time to look at cute anime girls in super high resolution

or... is that a strikethrough? :pimp:

Congrats! 1000fps in genshin? Im getting 60fps in Roblox lol.

Love the look of the cooler on the Palit . Also should you be interested Palit also has an OC BIOS available ;)

I have it, but I didn't flash because it's only 25 watts more (not sure this even matters, and given I am still using the 12VHPWR H+ cable, won't push my luck) and the one on my card seems to be a newer revision (bug fixes?). In fact its BIOS is dated February 13, 2 weeks after I even ordered the dang thing. They just didn't have these cards available. Even Palit's compliance certificate seems to have only been emitted in late February... so why even sell the cards that far in advance?

...and yes, hoyo games run great lol

I'm at work atm but across the net people are posting anywhere from mild to downright large performance increases from the latest drivers, anyone care to try some back to back testing here?

This is the first release I've tried (I mean, I got the card yesterday, had some business to take care of so I only finished my rebuild today), but it seems that at least thus far the crashes I was getting with the Hoyo games on the A2000 are gone

The list of bugfixes is very extensive, so it's good to know that Nvidia took the negative feedback to heart. I noticed they even renamed this the "Release 575" branch, probably because R570 was just hopeless.

Yeah okay... I never thought these numbers would be possible... but now it is! Personal Best before was 15300-15400

Oh shit, you got your card! Finally the wait is over.

Sadly Genshin is capped to 60 without LS or other framegen tools
