Well, those specs seem pretty good. Wonder how much with proper cooling it will overclock in the end with those base/boost clocks and how much of a difference that will make. We keep seeing leaks showing it but I want to see it in action with those specs.

Crossfire setup and this is a reference cooled cards. Also judging by the fan speed graph I think it runs on default profile, which is usually never above 50-60%.

It says MAX next to the parameter. That means peak temperature. If you look the history graph next to it, the highest point is just 1/5 of the total otherwise lower temperature. Meaning it goes so hot only in certain game/bench scenes. Besides, reference coolers were always like this. Would be interesting though if someone made a beefy aftermarket reference style cooler with vapor chamber, heatpipes and stuff, still making it an exhausting cooler, but with proper capabilities. They used to make such in the past, but not so much lately. Anyone remembers IceQ from PowerColor? Those were pretty good exhaust coolers.

Probably. I am hoping it would at least be available for my FuryX.

Either way my HTPC will be receiving a RX480 for an upgrade. The old 5870 has reached its end.

Yet still those peak temps are hot, but ok you are right, the nvidia FE cards run in the 80s peak as well.
With a proper cooler those temps should improve.

Never had any problem for video playback.
