Update: Started happening again and now I can barely load a game. This time I've got a full pink screen instead of just signal loss. I guess I'm doomed... imagem_2022-04-22_135821443.png

Yeah, I gave up on mine altogether at this point.
Now running GT1030 instead lmao (GDDR5 ofc). That's the kind of performance I get in 2022 for same money I paid for that RX in 2017...

I paid 80 bucks for my 560, they said it was an entry level card. What a hell of an entry card it was. There was not a single game where I could look at it and say: "my ol 560 can't handle it". Triple a, next gen, you name it. If you had one you know...

I'm going to wait for a miracle by the end of november and attempt buying a card that is least as good as my old 560 because right know looking at vga prices at amazon looks like a bad dream or a bad taste joke.

Update: Probably the last update but I managed to capture the device manager error after the blackscreen + restart:
The device status reads as: "This device is not functioning properly because Windows could not load the necessary drivers for the device ( Error Code 31). (Operation failed) (The operation was not successful).

While on this "no driver" plug and play setup where the screen runs at a low crappy resolution the crashes will not occur, If I disable and enable the device again it will load the drivers properly, with crashes being certain at any given time.
imagem_2022-04-25_150912233.png
The log reads:
- Event properties for "Radeon RX 560 Series";
"The device PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_67FF&SUBSYS_230A1458&REV_CF(...) had a initialization failure."

Driver name: oem5.inf
Service: amdwddmg

imagem_2022-04-25_151455024.png

* I managed to make my display work with drivers running longer by reducing core and memory clock to the lowest (from 1199 Mhz to 500) and -600Mhz for mem clock which lowers the performance by ~60% + a reduction of 120mV

PS: You can try playing games with this settings but It will not be as fun and IT WILL CRASH regardless, it may take longer, but it will. As a conclusion I suspect the problem lies around my VRAM or memory chips inside the card. Without proper electronics knowledge and adequated hardwares such multimeter, soldering kit and whatnot this card is good for nothing, unfortunately. Thanks for everyone who helped me out and I hope the messages here can clarify and help future users that may stumble on similar problems with the Polaris 21 graphics processor series.

Also if you can, just RMA the hell out of videocards. Don't bother with all this crap! (Mine was 30 days late, yay!).

I've read your message before where you mentioned buying a bnib.
I'm sorry but I am far from an expert, what could that be? I've searched on google for "bnib" and found nothing

Oh. Ofc, thanks. Platforms such as gumtree and ebay.
Be cautious buying from those sites, I'd make sure you have money back guarantee if the device is not what was advertised or not working. 99% rating on 1000 reviews is pretty good as a base line. Verify the country the vendor is in and where product is coming from

Rx 560 was an entry level card indeed back in 2017, now its low end. Entry level of today is rx 580 or RX 5500/6500, or 1650S or 1660, or anything that can handle most of the modern games in 1080p medium high without dipping below 60fps. As a replacement just get a used GTX 960, make sure it works before purchasing. You will actually get fps boost in some games while maintaining the same performance in others. Plus 960 werent popular choice for mining so there is less chance you stumble upon a miner card.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I actually got a nice offer from a 1050Ti. Do you think it's a good upgrade from de 560? That's the card in question:

It's comparable to GTX 960 but a bit newer, if prices are similar between two, it's fine.

Can it run smoothly with a 450w psu? It's not a generic one, Corsair CX450W 80 bronze

Also, is there any difference between the double/single fan version. The single fan is cheaper

Single fan will be hotter/louder/both.

That said both will run fine on that PSU, though 1050Ti is a bit more power efficient.

It is an upgrade to a RX 560, but marginal in my opinion, it does have very good power draw though. Don't pay a lot, or you might as well buy a rx 6400.

I don't know what the market is like where you are, but I wouldn't pay that because (assuming US stores) you can get a brand new rx 6400 from microcenter or newegg for $160-$170, or the much faster 6500 XT for $200-$220.

I know they have the PCI-E 3.0 performance issue, but they're new with a warranty.

Okay guys I don't live in the US, I'm from Brazil and I'm converting the price directly from the dollar quotation, which is roughly 1 USD : 5BRL

The stock price for a brand new 1050ti in here floats around R$2.000 (around 400 bucks)

If the inflation is bad there for you guys, imagine in a third-world/developing country. So with that in mind can you give me your 2 cents? Tyvm!

The link is in a foreign language so I don't think it will be useful, but I've got the guys phone and if i make a deal we'll meet personally

If you are buying it from a local seller then you dont have to worry that much, all you need to do is a) meet him/her in person and b) actually test the card prior to purchase, Also make visual inspection, pay close attention to things like stripped screws, flux residue, burned stuff, oxidation etc.
Just test it good in furmark (like 30 minutes, check the temperature, fan noise etc, thats the quickest method). Then test in games. If everything is ok buy it.

You need to test it in person, not meet in person where there is no surety to get your money back if the board is defective

Hello,

Unfortunately I needed a replacement gpu just to brace the storm, I'll eventually upgrade my whole system which still has a ddr3 system.
So I ended up buying the 1050ti but the ASUS Cerberus version. Same value, except this one is brand new with the warranty void untouched and shiny and smelling like new hardware. The weird thing is that idle temp sits around 50C and 82C under load on Heaven? I mean this gpu has double fans, also I noticed a weird fan curve where it goes from 0-100 in between 30-60C, much like a passive cooling curve, but still, my old RX 560 single fan would hit 30, even 25C while at idle? What can be wrong here? Maybe even though it's new it's also old and the thermal paste deteriorated? I wouldn't like to disasemble it right away because apart from that the card performs fine. (I can't RMA this card because it came without it's documents)

Thats like the Asus Dual/Mining Line you bought, a ultra low end part.

TUF and ROG are the upper end.

You got what you paid for, dont screw with it.
