My daily card, an AMD RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition. This is before a more thorough cleaning and just before I waterblocked it.

My R9 Nano. Never gonna get rid of it.

My Sapphire Vega 56 Pulse. Looking into finding a way to make it a Vega Nano.

My friend's RX 5600 XT. Upgraded them from a 1060 3GB to that.

The aformentioned GTX 1060 3GB.

And finally, my RTX A2000. Used in a build-in-progress, intended to be a travel gaming rig.

A nude 6700XT - repasted and managed to shave off 12 to 15 degree hotspot. The thermal application done from the factory is OK when you don't care.

Been wondering why every mid range ATi die rotated 45 degrees. Any reason or design benefits maybe? Clearly a disadvantage when it comes to designing heatsinks for proper gpu contact!

Why don't Intel or Nvidia do this?!

45 degree bends have less electrical resistance than 90 degree bends, and they're less fragile?
Not something neccesary and may just be a design choice on their part due to their internal die layout

My lowly 3930k machine just got an upgrade. A little BIOS mod let me boot from NVMe on my 12 year old platform.

It's a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro. Shot was with my Canon RP, 50mm ƒ1.8 prime @ ƒ2.8. Probably should have stopped down to ƒ5.6.

Perks of having a (super ancient, older than me) 105mm macro..........I guess it counts as "hardware"? Kinda??

A bunch of us with VKB Gunfighters are troubleshooting something that involves adding green Loctite 290 to the main 625zz bearing on the pitch axis of the stick, to remove play in the inner bearing race. The trusty ol' 105mm 2.8D is the only one that can do the job.

I have been sidelining my D610 for months now but the extra resolution and ability to shoot video (which Df cannot do) is coming in very handy lately. Whole bearing is about 15mm wide.

Hmm 128MB DRAM cache sounds low because in my country this drive would set me back about £247 but for £265 I can get a Western Digital SN850X 4TB it does only have 2GB dram cache but that would be a better pay. I would usually take a Kingston KC3000 but the price for the 4TB variant with 4GB dram cache is about £326 and I would not pay that.

I would love to have listed Sabrent with their Rocket drives but they ain't avaliable in my country even I have one but it's imported from Germany.

It runs very hot and performance is all over the place. But it was the cheapest TLC-based drive with a DRAM cache.
