Your 8600K seems to be underperforming. Have you tweaked ram/oc cpu?i need to finish upgrading my PC. its bad when your GPU has nearly twice as much memory as your entire PC.

Look at the avg on CPU-game. That is the important one that shows how many fps your CPU is producing. Going from the stock 3000cl16-ram xmp on my Ryzen 3600 to 3733cl15 with dram calc I got 163fps. That is a 25% better CPU-score from ram-tweaking alone.I had 2700X _ 122 then a 5800X _132 and now 5950X _ 140

No, I had the 5700XT before. Cpu game avg score is the same with 5700XT and 3060ti. It shows how many fps the cpu generates, gpu game shows how many fps the gpu produces. I have a fairly identical setup but not the game, it’s coming to Game Pass I‘ve wanted to run the bench so I’ll definitely post results for comparison when it‘s available. But you should definitely give your RAM a kick regardless may not show better FPS but you’re holding your CPU back at such low speeds I hope your Time Spy score is old because mine is double that. With respect, you're comparing apples to oranges because your 3060Ti GPU is much more powerful than mine.

Dont matter if you run 1080p@medium or 4k@highest, you get the same "CPU Game" score either way (within run to run variance)

But like i said above, it makes no difference for "CPU Game" score.

It was decided by the starter of the tread StefanM for unknown reasons. I think many here are more interested in the real avg fps than cpu game which they don't understand. You, me and a few other prefer the cpu game stats to see how the cpu performs, but I guess we are a minority. This again ? Why ?

Why? Because this thread is about 1080 Highest, because all followed this from the beginning, and by throwing in random setting you dilute the results. This again ? Why ?

No, this game dont scale with cores/threads past a certain point.. 250+ fps CPU Game is not hard with a 8core zen3 cpu (5800x)"Now, I can very much agree that this game is an oddity, the moar cores you throw at it, the better your FPS will be, each extra 2 cores will give extra frames, going up to 16/32, and in that regard, the CPU game is sort of more interesting. But that should be the subject of another thread.

Dude, you are being an ass for no good reason. We all have a gazillion opinions on a variety of topics. This thread was meant for 1080 Highest. If you don't like it, or don't agree with it, start another thread where you can show the whole world that you are right and everybody else is wrong. Or post whatever you like without being disrespectful to the other members of this thread. If you want to bench the GPU, use 3dmark.
The rest of the world use this benchmark as a cpu/memeory bench, not a 99% limited GPU bench.
But by all means, have at it

If threadstarter StefanM wanted to keep a leaderboard on page1 i could see the need conform to a single setting, but as it stands now, 90% of the results here are from unoptimized systems, from people who dont know how to tweak a system..
No, this game dont scale with cores/threads past a certain point.. 250+ fps CPU Game is not hard with a 8core zen3 cpu (5800x)
Russian SoTB benchthread uses 720p lowest, Scandinavian use 1080p medium. overclockers.net use whatever.
Maybe you think I'm being disrespectful, but could that have something to do with people commenting on things they dont understand/know what they are talking about ?Dude, you are being an ass for no good reason. And that's why this game is a popular benchmark for cpu/memory, as it scales very well with tweaking of memory timings and latency.. GFX dont matter here.. But ofcourse if you want to brag about your epeen 3090 which require no knowledge to get a high GPU score with, and maybe keep your 1440p highscore, then graphic score is the most important and only highest numbers should be used i guess, but tough luck, it didn't make it. I simply dont find it interesting to benchmark graphic cards in SotTR.
And i think i have been sharing usefull information about how the different game versions affect game scores (free version vs paid version) and how rebar (resizable bar) affects scoring, but if you think iam an ass then so be it. But i mostly think that have something to do with how you comment on others first, use Taraquin as an example if you want to have a better tone.
